"I could spend forever up here, though I imagine the people I travelled with may worry" she said, looking at the mountains, "if I asked for the edge of the world?"

"Westeros is the edge of the world," Vhagus said. "Everything east, nothing west. It is better to ask for the real world, where the cities are grander and the mountains larger and the peoples more numerous." The dragon alights on a hilltop. "But I'd hardly expect a denizen of Westeros to believe that." He clambers off the dragon. "Flying has stopped me from conquering Meereen," he admits. "I spend too much time aloft forgetting who I am, and not enough time on the ground, moving armies."

"Why ever go down?" She asked, looking over the mountain, she imagined if she moved away from the dragon it would be very cold. "There are other dragons in meereen? No? They would be more dangerous than the greatest army, like the dragons in the conquest, more than made up for the men. Volantis opposes you also, do they not?"

"Just one," he said. "Armies still win wars. Unless you have three," he said. "Volantis, Braavos, Meereen, Ghis...all of them," he said. "All thinking they can dethrone the emperor."

"Can they?" She asked simply.

Vhagus took her hand and pulled her to the ledge, until their toes were over open air. "No," he said. "They hate each other, too. And they all think they have things to lose. It makes them weak."

Robyn felt her stomach drop as she looked down over the edge, "Volantis is backing a great enemy of my father's Kingdom," she imagined he already knew that, "do you have many allies, other than Pentos?"

"Few enough," he admits. "Fortunately for you, Bryce Dayne is no friend of mine." He pulls her back and then walks and opens a skin of wine. "I doubt your brother sees any potential for an alliance with me, gifts be damned."

"I am not my brother, and my father has left it up to my judgement," she informed him, "Benjen is not the king, if your enemies lie East, I do not see why we cannot be friends, at least for a time," she kept looking over the edge, it feeling rather fitting, she was in unknown territory in unknown territory, "where are we?"

"Andalos," he said. "Where the enemies of the First Men arrived from. Only your family held against them, I believe. What do you propose?"

"Holding against them still," she confirmed, looking round over the mountains, "simple enough, we need ships, not only to deal with ironborn, but also the volantene ships propping up Bryce Dayne, you want Volantis done, we can help with that, they have made an enemy of us by siding with our enemy, if they tried to bite us once, they may try again... And the North remembers. it makes sense, for their enemies to make friends to defeat them today, what happens tomorrow, will be up to tomorrow"

"I have no ships," he points out. "But if Pentos allied with you then we would be friends by association, yes? If you wish to be my friend, alliances must be sealed by blood," he said.

"Pentos is already allied with you, it would be very rude of me to try and move around you" she confirmed, "an alliance with Pentos is a lot more likely, if you also backed it. As for being friends independently, with the ironborn dealt with, we would have our fleet back and unhindered, to help you." She narrowed her eyes at talk of blood, "what sealing in blood did you have in mind," Robyn knew he was a sorcerer, and also knew they used blood in spells.

"Marriage, of course," he said. "Isn't that a term you use?" He arches an eyebrow. "I wouldn't dictate who my allies can be friends with. Particularly when asked by one so...able." He offers a hand. "You must see the sun rise from the sky."

"Of course it is," she confirmed, thinking he was mocking her, she took his hand regardless, "I would not expect you to dictate anything, just not voice opposition, after all, if Pentos were to use their ships for us, that is less for you. I have spoken on what we can do for you, friendship goes both ways, how could you help us, with no ships,"
