"Ah, fascinating," said Joanna, who had no intention of attending neither. Fighting might have made you sweat, but sitting in the lists in the middle of winter sounded a lot more like freezing your ass off. She stifled a yawn and set her glass on the table. "Well, I thank you for the warm welcome, Prince Benjen," she said, turning to him what looked like a genuine smile. "But we have a long and rather cold road behind us; if you don't mind terribly, it'd be best if we settled in now."
She stood, expecting the same from the prince. "There will be plenty of time to get to know each other later, after all," she told him with a glint in her eyes.

A drunken westerman starts calling for the bedding. Everyone looks at him as he slowly stops his chant. Andre Hill picks him up and uses him as a seat cushion.

Perhaps we can go for a ride some time, in the countryside." He took her hand again and kissed it.

"Looking forward to it," she said warmly, gathered her skirts and left with the small entourage that had followed her to the Great Hall.
Jaymes was present for another half hour, until he too grew bored of small talk, and retreated to the chambers he'd been given.
