Alyn nodded. "I'm alright with a spear, better with a sword," He stated, while Old Herlon dabbed his hand in the water and spread it on Bella's wounded lips.
"I swear I will do all I can to avenge this foul deed," Alyn said, a vow that he evidently meant.

Alanna nodded. "A noble vow. Herlon, I meant to loan Alyn the good spear I borught from Sandstone while I make good use of your bow, but should you object to having him borrow your fine blade? Ser Borros has his own weapon."

Herlon looked up and studied Alyn for a moment before nodding. "Yes, he looks to be able to wield a sword with some talent. We will need all the strong arms we can get."
Alyn gave a small, revering bow.

Alyn gripped the hilt of the sword with one hand and the sheath with the other, hefting the weapon strapping it to his belt. "Thank you, Herlon," He said.
"Yes yes my dear Allana, do so. Help Harrick with the preparations," Old Herlon's head bobbed. "Alyn, you stay here until I've seen to that leg."
