Lord Rycherd Tyrell of Highgarden, his five hundred mounted troops and other sundry lords and ladies from the West set out from Casterly Rock making their way towards Kings Landing.

He sat easy in his saddle. His two older sons accompanied him: Victor Brax, his heir; and Addam Hill, his bastard son. He had brought twenty-five men with him, all honed and loyal warriors. He breathed in the cool air. A good day to ride

Rycherd moved his horse so that it fell in step beside Julius' horse.
"I am pleased you decided to accompany us Lord Brax. The Goldlands will be well represented at this tourney."

"Aye that they will my lord. Will you be in the lists?" he adjusted his horse to suit Rycherd's pace.

"I intend entering." replied Rycherd. "I should feel ashamed if my followers entered and I did not."

Ser Percy Oakheart rode along behind the lords, one of the five hundred. He listened to them talk, smiling to himself. Perhaps he would even manage to unhorse Lord Tyrell in the lists. Strange he did not want to marry the Yroneood girl. Percy had heard that she was quite pretty. Perhaps he preferred the company of men? No, no, Percy said to himself, that was no way to think of the Lord Paramount of the Reach. He smiled to himself and thought instead of glory for te house of his father. Tourneys were always a splendid way to pass the time and to make a name for oneself. He wished he were more than just an afterthought...but a seventh son had to make his own way.

"I am sure you will gain great recognition my lord, but not everyone is suited to be good in the lists."

"Then they need not enter." replied Rycherd. "I am confident though that the Goldlands will be well represented, by others as well as myself. Why even young knights such as..."
His eyes roved over the knights following him, until they came to rest on the least impressive that he could find, which happened to be Percy Oakheart.
".....that young man there can enter the lists."
He waved to Oakheart to join him and Lord Brax.
"What is your name Ser?"

Oakheart looked up suddenly, hardly believing that Lord Tyrell was speaking to him. He guided his horse up to ride alongside them. "I'm Ser Percy, ah, Percivale Oakheart, my Lord," he said, ducking his head in respect. "Lords," he corrected himself, nodding to Lord Brax as well. He remembered riding against Tyrell at Mason's Keep. Smirking to himself, he recalled that Tyrell had fallen to the late Lord Yronwood, and that he himself was not taken down until two legendary fighters took him on at once.

"You look like an unprepossessing fellow Ser Percivale." said Rycherd, not unkindly. "Nonetheless do you intend entering the lists in Kings Landing?"

"Aye, my Lord," he said, face splitting in a grin. "A seventh son's got to distinguish himself somehow, hasn't he?"

"You see?" said Rycherd with a grin at Lord Brax. "If one such as Ser Percivale can enter the lists, then I should not shy away from doing the same."

He rubbed the pommel of his longsword, as he did when bored or just preoccupied with other thoughts. He nodded to the boy and looked to the horizon. "I have been away for too long. Too long at Hornvale. My sword is dull and my reflexes slow." He actually gave a thin smile. "I look forward to this tourney."

Percy smiled at the both of them, privately imagining each of them in the dirt at his feet. "Good luck to you both, my lords. May the best man win." He rubbed his horse's neck fondly. "And may he be of the Goldlands, the fairest and richest of the five kingdoms."
