"Oh," she said quietly, looking a little let down. "That's...its good to know."

Benjen studied Arania for a moment as they continued to dance. "If that was not the answer you expected then why did you marry Kal today?" He asked. "Arania, I am a Prince and I am wed. You were a promised woman; the kiss meant nothing." He said it differently this time, his tone implying that it was the story they would stick with.

"I...You're right. It was nothing." She hated herself for bringing it up now. A smile crossed her face and she laughed. She was being silly, like some star-crossed child. "I'm sorry, Ben."

"No need to apologize, you're only human," Benjen replied, looking less serious again. "So, what's your first child to be called then?"

"You know, I never thought farther than the wedding until we were actually here, in Winterfell. Can you imagine that?" She laughed again, carelessly.

The maester, if surprised by the clansman, says nothing about it. "Go on, then." Some people about mumble about his appearance at the festivities. Theo was mostly oblivious to the mumbles about his presence, though he felt the constant looks the other guests gave him which disturbed him a little. He turned his attention back to the maester who looked at him. "My father, the Wull, clan leader of Clan Wull has come down with some kind of sickness. Our clan guide and healer has tried all he know to no avail and so he ordered me to travel here to ask you to go with me to the clanhold and see my father."

"We'll talk to Lord Rickon in the morning, then, and set out," the maester says. "The winters are always harder on us old men."

"You know, I never thought farther than the wedding until we were actually here, in Winterfell. Can you imagine that?" She laughed again, carelessly. Benjen chuckled. "Well, now's the time to think on it. With any luck Kal with put an heir in you tonight." He winked.

Arania rolled her eyes. "Gods, Benjen, you always know exactly what to say, don't you?" She laughed. "Though I don't think I want quite as many as you do. Babies are tiresome, and they chew things."

"They chew things?" Benjen asked, sounding a little amused. "Sure they are tiresome but you will have nursemaids aplenty. And just think, several little Aranias and Kals, running about, throwing snowballs at each other."

That made her laugh all the harder. "If they were really little Aranias, they would see the snow only from the windows, and only then when they chanced to glance up from their books." She sighed. "So does it warm up in the spring? Or will it be furs year-round here at Winterfell?"

"A little; summer can be warmish, enough so you visit some places in a normal dress," Benjen explained. "Of course it'll be a long time until summer comes again."

She sighed. "Oh well, at least here we have a wealth of fires and furs and, well, I'm sure Kal won't let me freeze." She giggled at that, saying the very thing that had sent her stammering only a few weeks previously.

"And I am sure Kal will be fine with you visiting the south," Benjen said as the dance ended. "As a matter of fact, I will need to speak with your husband."

"Oh? What about?" She looked toward Kal and Ella, who were still standing together and chatting after the dance had ended.
