Reyna smiled warmly.
"I do. Aside from the cold, but I expect it takes a while to get used to that," she said. "But Winterfell is very beautiful. I truly do enjoy the hot springwater and the glass gardens, and the way the castle is build is very interesting. Even the crypts have a strange sort of interest. I went a little way, but they all look very stern, the old dead Starks. Have you been to the crypts yet? And congratulations of course!"

"Thank you," said Arania, coloring just a little. "I haven't been to the crypts yet...I've spent most of my time preparing for the ceremony and well, my father sent me a library, which has been very distracting. I'll have time enough to explore Winterfell in the future, I should think. Do you know where you'll go from here? On to...Barrowton, was it?"

"Yes. I'm worried it will be a bit of a let down in comparison," Reyna confided with a laugh. "Nothing could be as magnificent as Winterfell. I almost wish I could stay here, but I doubt that's possible. But still, I know nothing of Fyodor's kin."

"Well, Kal and Fyodor are good friends, I am sure there will be much visiting in our future. And for all the stern Starks in the crypts, the ones above ground seem very pleasant. I am sure it will be the same with the Dustins. The northerners I have met are all friendly, and not nearly so full of themselves and their position as the southerners I grew up with." She smiled, trying to assuage any of Reyna's worries. "I only worry about the isolation...I come from a city, where there are thousands of strangers. It will be strange to be among the same people day in and day out, and nothing for miles outside the walls." She shrugged.

"Yes, I feel that too. The North seems much less populated," Reyna agreed. "!I expect White Harbor's different - perhaps you should convince Kal to set up a court there!"

"Court, Kal?" She laughed. "I don't see that as likely. I'm sure I heard something about the Manderlys, too. But mostly, Kalvin and holding court hardly belong in the same sentence."

"Well, there's lots of things he could do. It's not all boring formalities," Reyna said. "Or you could set out a court at Winterfell. That would be nice, just that White Harbor is a proper city. But whatever did you hear about the Manderleys?"

(oops, I wasnt actually present when they discussed Manderly...)
"I only heard there was trouble in passing. I would ask for details, but I don't think now is the time. Fascinating, though, isn't it? Politics interest me more than I had thought."

ooc: It's fairly common knowledge there's a rogue Manderly who is trying to become King beyond the wall.

"Oh. Yes. It's most interesting but I will admit I felt a little out of my depth regarding the Free Cities. That wasn't something I looked into very much when I was trained," Reyna sighed. "But perhaps I can be of some help here. And you will of course be able to help. Kal seems the kind of man who listens to his wife."

"Perhaps! Though are you still representing the Iron Islands? With all the trouble with your father, I mean. Sorry, maybe I shouldn't mention that... Anyway," Arania hurriedly changed the subject. "He does listen. Or else he would be entirely unbearable." She looked in his direction, smiling.

Reyna giggled.
"No, I can't say I do represent the islands. Not any more. But I cannot sit at Barrowton all the time with nothing to do. So I believe I shall ask Fyodor if he minds my approaching the king. The North shall be my home now, so I should like to be of use to it."

"So you'd like to continue serving as ambassador, but represent northern interests this time?" Arania considered it. "That would be very interesting. A good way to pass the time, I might say. But wouldn't you miss your husband? I'm sure you could come here, and entertain me. I will need it, I fear."

"I daresay I would too. You know what men are like. Fyodor is a warrior. He won't be sitting at home all day long, so why should I? So why not serve as ambassador, if the king will let me?" Reyna asked.

Benjen approaches Crowl, sitting down beside him. "Quite a wedding, huh?" He chuckles. "How do you Skagosson wed?"
