Benjen gives the guard a thankful look before making his way to his father's.
"Father? Are you alright?"

Jason offered his arm to her, turning to face the keep. "I'll let the others explain it better. I imagine Prince Benjen will be giving some form of briefing not too long from now."

Taking his arm, she nodded,"Alright and thank you." She smiled at the good news from her rescuer,"I am very glad to hear that the Prince to hear that his Grace is still well.."
"Hopefully the King is safe as well."

Jason nodded again before walking with her back to the keep, looking around as they walked for any signs of other survivors. All he saw was devastation, and his efforts proved fruitless. He walked into the courtyard with her and noticed several others were no longer there. "The Prince and others must have gone into the keep. Not a bad idea."

Raven nodded,"It is a very good idea.. It should be warmer inside, I'm about to freeze here."
She did not want to see anymore of the destruction, being stuck behind a door of a destroyed building was not high on her priority list of fun things to do.

Reyna flung herself down beside Fyodor.
"Oh gods, it must have been so horrid. We were lucky we weren't here or else it would have been worse. Thank you so much for taking care of my husband."

King Terrence looks up weakly. "Benjen...what...happened?" "Cassadar... summoned the Valyrian goddess of magic," Benjen explained. "He tried to kill her with a wave but she just reflected it. They're both dead now."

Jason nodded and lead her inside. Having never been to the keep, or Eddard's Rest, or pretty much any of the North, he got lucky by wandering directly into a room that looked like a dining hall, well heated with several fires, though disturbingly empty. "This should do, I think."

Raven released his arms and headed to the nearest fire. She began trying to warm herself and drying her hair carefully. "I am so glad to see a flame.... This will do nicely.." The warmth from the fire covered her chilled skin.
She then looked at him,"Just give me a minute and I will help you find your group."

Nyles shrugged. "That Stark with the huge sword killed his son." "That is all?" Oriax asked, raising an eyebrow. "Nothing of his reputation? Think hard, for it will decide where our journey takes us next."

Jason nodded, turning to one of the tables and removing his shield and two-hander, as well as most of his heavier pieces of armor, before walking out into the hall. He looked around and tried to picture it before the wave, and shook his head sadly. "Damned magic." He muttered to himself.

As she dried, Raven looked at the hall. "So magic did all... Of this?" Pulling hair back into a ponytail,"My father told me that the magic of old was gone from Westeros.."

"Aye, magic did it all. And, at one point it probably was. But leave it to an ignorant fool playing with powers they don't understand to change all of that. Hopefully, one day, it all will be gone. For good." Jason shook his head again before walking back into the room, pulling his one-handed sword from it's sheathe and cleaning the blade with a rag.
