Only rolling Rycherd's fights, given he's the only PC. 16 entrants, so 4 victories required.
First match: Lord Rycherd Tyrell VS Ser Derrick Toland
Round 1:
Rycherd: 157 Derrick: 102
Lord Rycherd easily unhorses his opponent on the first tilt, his lance striking precisely where he intends. The crowd cheers the accuracy and skill, and the tourney field shrinks by one more contestant.

Rycherd VS Lord Craig Bulwer
Round 1:
Rycherd: 128 Craig: 98 (-10)
The rose lord breaks a lance on his opponent's shield, a solid blow that sends splinters flying everywhere.
Round 2:
Rycherd: 105 Craig: 85 (-15)
Rycherd and Craig's next tilt isn't particularly skillful, but he manages to score another strike on his opponent, though his lance merely cracks rather than splinters.
Round 3:
Rycherd: 87 Craig: 72 (-20)
Rycherd wins, although the crowd is much more ambivalent. He scores three hits but breaks only one lance. He switches horses to see if perhaps his usual destrier is having a bad day.

Lord Rycherd Tyrell VS Ser Garrett Redwyne
Round 1:
Rycherd: 165 Garret: 166
The crowd is much more pleased, as the two famed knights collide, lance shards spraying all over, shields smashed by the impact. Lord Rycherd was informed a shoe on his other horse had cracked a hoof.
Round 2:
Rycherd: 134 (-15) Garret: 180
The next tilt, the crowd falls into a hush as Ser Garrett's lance explodes onto Lord Rycherd's shield, nearly knocking him right off his horse. Summoning all his willpower, he manages to stay on the saddle.
Round 3:
Rycherd: 115 Garret: 90 (-10)
Rycherd recovers and manages a solid hit on Ser Garrett, and the crowd is excited to see some well-managed tilts.
Round 4:
Rycherd: 99 Garrett: 137
Lord Rycherd loses the match as his shield is broken and he is unable to continue. The points are awarded to Ser Garrett. The crowd cheers at the outcome, but also at the skill with which it was executed.

Rycherd threw away the remains of his shield in frustration and swore loudly, but summoned a smile as he moved to congratulate Ser Garrett.
"Well done Ser. It appears I shall need to speak to my armorer. Still you gave me a good hit on that second pass."

Ser Garrett nods. "Well met indeed. Always nice to have fine competition. I'm sure m'lord can afford to have his armor repaired," he chuckled.

"Certainly." replied Rycherd with a quick flash of a grin. "I think I'll have my next shield doubled in thickness."
He handed his helm and gauntlets to his two squires for cleaning and storing.
"Now where is your new Knight-Commander?" he asked. "We need to become better acquainted."

"I imagine he's talking to the High Septon; I have one last joust to prepare for." He shakes the lord's hand once more. "I'll see you after the tourney, my lord."

"Good luck." replied Rycherd. "If you triumph I can at least say I lost to the tourney champion."
He went to look for the new Knight-Commander.

Ser Jonarth is sipping at some wine and speaking to a few knights. He nods respectfully. "Lord Tyrell. Well met."

"Ser Jonarth." said Rycherd, acknowledging the man with a slight nod. "I congratulate you on your win and appointment as the Faith's new Knight Commander. You have spoken to the High Septon?"

"I have, my lord. I plan on reinforcing Summerhall; this castle is ill-suited for a real siege should it ever come under attack from the heathens to the east." Jonarth looks about. "Recruit more loyal men from the infidel North, too; surely the Vale and Riverlands haven't all forsaken the Seven."

"That sounds like a good start." replied Rycherd approvingly. "I have allocated four thousand men from my forces to reinforce Summerhall, until you feel you are in a position to defend yourself adequately against the Kingslanders. I would request though that you consult with King Kyle and myself before undertaking any expedition against the infidels. Your predecessor did not. It cost him his life and the lives of hundreds of Warriors Sons for no appreciable gain for the Faith."

"Oh," Ser Jonarth says, "we are some ways from another holy war, I think. We will find the fertile ground for the Seven's teachings, though; their will shall be spread back to its rightful places. I have vowed this." He nods in apparent agreement with himself.

What was it with these holy men thought Rycherd. Always so self assured about their righteousness of their cause. Never seeming to realise that their opponents were equally as sure about theirs.
However he nodded in agreement with Jonarth's words.
"How do you plan on achieving the spread of the teachings of the Seven? The Reach is no longer infested with the worshippers of the Red God, but other areas such as the Kingsland are filled with infidels who are convinced of their beliefs."
