After returning Benjen forgoes removing his armour and having a wash, making his way straight to his father's chambers. Presumably Robyn is in tow.

Robyn is in tow, if a fair way behind him, seeing as she was quite badly injured. She felt worse now than she did before, any lingering adrenaline having gone, and walking was now painful. She was still paler than normal.

Sometime between all the walking around and riding and trying to get his half sister to take better care of herself, Nicholas has vanished. King Terrence looks aghast as his son and daughter walk in looking like ghosts. "What the hell happened?"

"We should be asking you that, father," Benjen replied, looking like he was not in a joking mood. "Elias Bolton and your master of whispers just turned into god damn... demons!" He looked shaken and almost in disbelief. "You cannot tell me that you know nothing about this, father."

Terrence rises. "What do you mean, demons?" He looks angry. "You think I'd send my sonand daughter into battle with a gods-forsaken demon?!" He kicks the table. "Malryas is dead, then?"

"Not dead... he's turned into some horrid creature, just like Elias did," Benjen replied, watching his father kick the table. "Elias spoke with Amelia briefly before he turned. He said Malryas had gone to Yeen to find some sort of power to stop Meraxes. He failed, which is why the five were created. With three of them dead however the demons couldn't be stopped."
He glared. "I want to know if you were involved in this, father."

"I sent them all to Yeen, I admit that," Terrence said. "They told me when they came back that they'd uncovered a source of power that would forestall her return. Elias said it was some sort of old book of Valyrian spells or some such. Malryas hasn't left Westeros since. Why hasn't he been a demon this whole time?"

Robyn didn't know, so could not answer, and just looked at her father, not being able to work up the energy to glare at him. It was taking all of it to stay standing as Benjen talked.

Robyn hears her sister's voice behind her. "Robyn...are you all right?" Delila looks fretfully at her, then sees how upset everyone else is and quiets down a moment. Prince Hector has the same expression, trying to figure out what all the commotion is about.

"Because of the Five," Benjen responded. "Elias said that they, especially Harrys and Vhagus, were being able to hold the demons back together." He frowned. "I killed Zenobia and Oriax killed Cassadar and it seems Harrys as well. Elias began to turn and attacked us, so Amelia killed him. Which only leaves Vhagus, and he apparently kept withdrew his powers a while back."

"I am fine" Robyn lied, giving her older sister and younger brother a faint smile, "Got into a spot of bother... but I will be okay," She looked round to terrence again but is still talking to the two, "After Benjen and the King finish up, I think there is something his grace has been meaning to tell us... unless the two of you know too."

Terrence thinks. "None of the other three turned into demons, did they?" He sits back down and waves his children to seats. "We will hunt down Malryas, wherever he goes. We need a new spymaster soon. And Bryce Dayne is marching on the Landing." He looks to his son. "When Delila is married we have a lot of work to do. We are having the wedding in the morning. King Brynden needs to return west to prepare for war."

"Nicholas Snow believes Malryas will be drawn to Bryce Dayne and the two will clash," Benjen informed his father. "As for a new spymaster, I recommend Amelia. I believe she has already begun to sweep Malryas remaining informants that are loyal to the crown into her own network."
At the mention of the wedding he nodded. "Tomorrow morning is good."

Terrence thinks a moment, then nods. "If she can handle it the job is hers." At Nick's name mentioned, he frowns. "When did you speak to Nicholas Snow?"
