The oldest of the great septs of Westeros, the Starry Sept is immense and lavish and can seat many thousands if it needs to.

Rycherd Tyrell escorts his sister Joanna Tyrell to the Starry Sept to be married to Alaric Hightower. As they progress through the city streets, they are flanked by the knights and men at arms that Lord Tyrell has brought with him.

The crowd is cheerful but modest, and the Starry Sept is well decorated for the event. Ser Alaric waits at the altar, and overall it is a very conventional wedding setup, save the very memorable setting.

Rycherd led his sister up the aisle proudly. Joanna looked fetching in her wedding attire. Her maiden's cloak of the Tyrell green and gold was clasped tightly around her shoulders and trailed on the floor.

Alaric smiles at her, and as the vows are exchanged (I don't have the book handy here), he removes her cloak, pledges his love and devotion, and replaces it with a Hightower cloak. They look into each others eyes and kiss to the cheers of the throng. Beric cheers loudly, as well, though no clapping whilst he stands with his cane. The wedded couple then bow before their Lord Paramount, respectfully.

Rycherd raised them both up, smiling broadly. He shook Alaric's hand and kissed Joanna, congratulating them both.

As the ceremony ends, the happy couple greet all the assembled lesser bannerman and knights and such. A massive feast, with dancing and merriment, occurs after, in the Hightower itself.

After the bedding revelry, Lords Rycherd and Beric talk long into the night, about all sorts of matters pertaining to the Reach.

Ser Theomore stood a long while looking up at the large building, that he had visited so many times before to pray and contemplate, before he took the steps up and entered the home of the Seven here among the living. The rumors that the Faith Militant and Rychard Tyrell had bended it's knee and allowed the heathens of the Kingsland continue on harassing and executing faithful followers of the Faith in the southern Kingsland had spread like fire among the nobles and smallfolk of the south. And even if Theomore enjoyed the news that some of the lords had left the heathens and sworn their alligance to another, he wasn't that fond of the idea that the kingdom of Dorne was getting larger.
He stopped as he entered the large hall and looked to see if he saw a septon that could take him to speak with one of the Most Devout.

He sees septons all about, as well as septas, Silent Sisters, and ordinary worshippers milling around the massive place of worship. Word is spreading excitedly that Lord Rycherd has married Princess Jessica Lannister and the High Septon himself has named him true king of the Goldlands.

Ser Theomore was glad to see so many people in the Sept which meant that the devotion to the Seven hadn't faltered despite the rumors that was spreading of the Faith's surrender toward the followers of the false god known as R'hllor. As the news of Lord Rychard's marriage reached Theomore's ears he began to feel a small knot begin to grow inside his stomach; this wasn't the time for personal gain and especially not the time to start another war on another front. Neither the High Septon nor Lord Rychard could believe that there would come anything good of this move, and Theomore doubted greatly that this was the will of the gods.
"Has there been any more proclamations from the High Septon?" he said and stopped a septon that walked past him, carrying a small box of candles.

"He calls upon all in the kingdoms to observe two days of fast and prayer next month in celebration of a true believer being crowned," the septon says. "After that, King Rycherd will decide how to deal with the apostates wearing the crowns." Theomore sees some of Lord Beric's daughters in the sept, praying as well. Lord Beric Hightower had stated that Oldtown was not mobilizing for war.

Ser Theomore only nodded as the septon shared with him the news from the High Septon, trying to not let the feeling of disgust that was growing inside of him take to large a hold. He knew that the High Septon spoke the will of the gods and Theomore would without a doubt fast and pray to the gods in celebration, but the notion that Lord Rychard wasn't as much of a apostate as the rest of the men calling themselves Kings. From what he could understand the Lannister King was a man who might not be very pious and devoted, but he was fighting a war against the heathens of the North, and that was a noble a cause as any, especially now that it looked like the Faith had retreated from the Kingslands.
"May the Father and Mother look after you, Septon" he said and gave a small bow as he noticed someone he thought he recognized and left the man to continue with his duties.
He moved closer to see if he could which of the daughters of Lord Beric was there to pray, not wanting to disturb her in this place of the gods. He hadn't spent much time with the women of the household when he had served with the Hightowers, and with the falling out he had had with Ser Alaric, he wasn't to sure about how she'd react to seeing him.

Alysanne Hightower prays another few minutes and then rises. She is tall with chestnut colored hair. She smiles at her father's bannerman. "Ser Theomore! How nice to see you again! Getting ready to head to Highgarden?" Her ladies in waiting patiently wait for her.
