Donovan follows him. When they are alone, he shakes his head. "They took a cup of blood from all of them, my prince, poured it into a chalice, and she used a badger hair brush to spread it all over him. She chanted in some strange tongue...and I don't know, maybe it was my imagination, but I'd swear for a moment he looked like he had gotten stronger."

"Certainly," Titus said. "Ser Donovan," he nodded to the knight and turned his attention to the others. "If you'll all just follow me, we'll see you safe and settled for the night, no doubt you all need it," he smiled and offered his arm to Astor.

"Stronger? Gods damn it, where did they learn magic like that?" He spat. "It is clear Draven is not from beyond the Wall." Benjen shakes his head. "This blood magic sounds far too much like what the man I killed used at Mason's Keep. And as for the keep being named after Cassadar..."

Astor takes his arm and sort of numbly lets him lead her off. Titus notices an odd wound on her arm, like someone had stabbed her with a very large needle.
Donovan just helplessly shrugs. "I heard his name mentioned, but I get the feeling they are at least peers. It was probably just the illness from that sick ceremony, my prince. He couldn't possibly really derive strength like that."

"I saw a fist of blood knock down Ser Hollis Clegane," Benjen explained. "Whatever that woman did, it was real." His eyes were set on the sun, which only now had fully come up. "He must have a weakness."

"What the hell caused that?" he said pointing at the wound. "It looks like someone stabbed you with a very large needle," he cringed, before gently poking it. "Does it hurt?" he asked, mid poke.

'Yes...they...uh...took out my blood. Not all of it, of course...but enough to make me faint when they did it." She looks nervous saying it, blushing a little, which just accentuates how pale her skin actually is.
Ser Donovan shakes his head. "If he does, I don't know it. Like I said, he took out eight good men with nary a scratch. Only Lord Fillmore or maybe Mallister or Kalvin Stark can fight like that. Anything like that."

"It would be madness to send a swordsman at him, even the best we have," Benjen stated. "Archers, a lot of them; pin him til he drops. Not an honorable way to do it but it's better than losing a good man."

Donovan nods. "He's clever, too; that ambush came out of nowhere, in land we knew well. I'd kill the woman first; it might destroy his reasoning powers. But...we need to find his lair."

"We almost had the location from a captive last night; has his throat torn out however before he could tell us," Benjen scowled. "I will send the scouts out again; that host was large enough to leave tracks as clear as the moon at night."

Donovan nods. "Of course. Thanks again, my prince. If you don't mind...I could use some rest, myself."

"That's disgusting," Titus grimaced. "You should probably have some milk or something, I'm not quite sure. I'm no maester, but I think when you lose blood it's good to drink milk or eat some meat."

"Of course; go sleeps, Ser Donavan. We'll be leaving this place soon enough."

Her hand tightens a bit on his arm as she remembers. "I will. I just need rest, you know? We weren't allowed to get much sleep and we had to walk everywhere...my feet are killing me."

"Of course, of course," he says as he leads her into the dank little chamber he'd slept in the night before. It consists of very, very little. "My very own personal accommodations," he laughs. "Not much a woman could want, I know. Now, unless you require anything, I'll be on my way."
