He lets out a breath with a rueful smile. "I probably won't be around to worry too much about it." She keeps riding him as they talk, slowly, and he scrunches his face. "Someone will probably get lucky, eventually."

"I hope not...I'm getting used to having you around. Perhaps you could be more careful for my sake." She stopped moving. "Should I stop?"

"Now you're warning people to be more careful?" he says in a full laugh. "And whyever would you stop?" His big arms turn her perpendicular to him though, and they continue from a different angle entirely.

She laughed as he moved her to suit him, pushing inside her from another angle. "I just let my curiosity get the better of me...with you, it seems to be throwing yourself into a storm just to see if you make it out the other side."

"Life ends in death, love. Whether I'm twenty-five facing an insane Dornish swordsman or forty with my son taking over my lands, or eighty with my fifth wife's mouth wrapped around my old cock, it all ends the same in the end." He kissed her. "You were supposed to be the creative one today."

"I'd rather it not end soon. Let's not talk about that, though. Ruins the mood." She shuddered, thinking how close to death she had probably come, twice, and recently.

"It really does, doesn't it?" She feels him soften up and withdraw. "Hm."

"Oh," she said, frowning. This hadn't happened to her before. She turned around and looked at him. "I'm sorry."

"It's fine, love. Just a bit grim is all." He chuckles. "Maybe," he rises from the pool, "It's for the best; we have work to do at the palace."

Arania watched him gather the things he would need, sitting crosslegged on the large bed. "I wish I could go with you. I want to see these giant armies I was told of first hand."

He chuckles. "Probably not a good idea. But tempting, nonetheless. Even in the desert my bed will feel cold." He lays out all his gear on the floor in a seemingly peculiar and oddly specific pattern; fully assembled armor, Ice, back sheath with leather straps, two daggers, scabbards for the daggers, belt for the scabbards for the daggers, oil for the weapons, a half dozen cleaning cloths, chain main assembled, four sets of clothing, black eye paint, for his cheeks to keep the reflection from the sand out of his eyes as much as possible, and bedding. "I'm sure you'll find plenty here to keep you occupied."

She laughed and rolled her eyes. "Perhaps some time in a cold bed will make you appreciate me more." She got on her knees and looked over the array of items. "I'm sure I will...hopefully Amelia will come back soon. Danya doesn't talk much."

"Yea, she's always been something of a cold fish. Amelia, now, she can be hard to figure out. She looks happy regardless. And when have I not appreciated you?" He grins and lifts a dagger, checking it for sharpness.

"You could always appreciate me more, though," she said, stretching out along the edge of the bed. "I find Amelia to be exciting...you know I never had a female friend before? Anyway, I'll miss you. Come back to me without any new scars, if you can."
