Early March...
For a week the small group have ridden, and at last they reach the near-infinite grasslands of the Dothraki Sea. Vhagus has been polite, perhaps a bit too polite for real comfort, but it is easily attributable to social differences. "Almost to my friends, now," he says.

"And who are your friends?" Amelia asked from her horse, wearing a more simple traveling robe and cloak. She was not amused at all by the simple food of the journey and could not wait to arrive a Vaes Dothrak.

As they cross one of the rolling hills, they see a few horsemen. They approach them, and just ten minutes later, they cross a slightly larger hill to see a mass of horses and men that must be thirty thousand in total, with women and children and slaves. "My friends," he explains. "My khalasar."
Mooton's mouth opens...and for once nothing comes out of it.

"Oh my..." Amelia said, definitely impressed. "So it should be Khal Vhagus, surely?" She said to the man, managing a smile though she was still a little shocked.

"Vago," he corrected. "All the former khaleesi of the tribes have called a great meeting, and almost every khal shall attend." He nodded to her. "You are under my personal protection, so if any man touches you, and your knight takes his hand, none shall make comment." They ride into the camp.

"Well that is good to know," Amelia commented, though she seemed genuinely thankful. "So, what is this great meeting about if I may ask?"

"What to do about the dragons," he says. "The Devourer plagues them with fear and doubt."

"And what can you do?" Amelia asked, as she looked around the campsite, having never seen a Khalasar before.

It looks like Mason Keep's festival with no central castle, and ten million times the chaos. Children run amok, men fight, not in a yard, but just wherever they can, and they don't have blunted blades. The smell of roast lamb is omnipresent, which is completely ruined by the even stronger smell of horse dung.

"Well this is certainly different..." Amelia mumbled quietly as she explored the camp, wondering how the Dothraki could live so... savagely. But then she loved other cultures and would not look down at them.

Mooton looks less wondrous and more suspicious. They arrive at what must be his tent, for it is larger than any three put together. Three large Dothraki look at them, impassive. "My bloodriders," he comments. "Brave and powerful men, all. Please, come in, enjoy some cool wine and cushions for a change."

"Finally I can get out of this saddle," Amelia said, climbing from the horse and smiling at the Bloodriders, before sitting down on some cushions. "So how far are we from Vaes Dothrak?"

"Many miles," he laughs. "It will be a long journey, but as a foreigner you will not be looked down on for using a more comfortable means of transportation. We have a great wagon for hauling these tents, and we can set you up an open air divan on top of it, so you may see all as we ride."

"That sounds very luxurious," Amelia said, sinking into the cushions with a smile and a sigh. "And I am a lady of leisure! So how did you come to command a Khalasar?"

"My father was khal of this khalasar. When he became too old to control it, I decided to take over. Some left, some challenged me, but...I am here, now."
