"Elyse... Elyse..." Frances wondered, narrowing his eyes. "Oh yes; I pulled the phoetus out and made her eat it. I remember the one."

"That sounds quite like how i imagine you were born." Halfway through the last word, Ice is whirring through the air.

Frances cocked a grin as he swung his spear up to bat Ice aside, his feet swiftly adopting a martial stance. "Quite."

Round 1:
Frances: 158 (-10) Kal: 181
Kal is faster with a two hand sword than almost anyone else with a one-hander, and it shows as he slices Frances Sand across the side, forcing him to leap back to try creating distance for his horrible serrated spear.
"Just run, Frances. Turn your tail and admit you're a rabid dog."

"The little puppy is angry it seems," Frances commented, eying the wound at his side as if it were a scratch. "Do you want your milk?"

Kal just grins and the fight continues.
Frances: (-10): 141 (-35) Kal: 180
slowed by his injury, despite his emotionless facade Frances realizes with a slightly disturbing notion that the northman is a better swordsman than he is, particularly when he doesn't have his trusty shield and plate to rely on to stop wounds like the shoulder hit he receives.

As the two fight, Arania notices a young knight in purple armor, with a large white sword and a young blonde girl next to him. "Ser Frances!" The knight exclaims. "What's going on?"

Frances' frowned deepened when he saw Ser Markus. "Kal Stark decided that he does not honour the piece between our lands."

The dagger was still in Arania's mouth and it took all her effort not to let it cut her again. She tried to move, make some leaves crunch a little and draw attention to her body, prone on the dirt.

Ser Markus looks around the empty clearing and sees only Arania and the northman. "Ellaria, run along now; it appears we have a problem." Ellaria looks at him a bit oddly but heads back down the path. When she leaves sight, he continues. "Seriously, Frances? In the damned gardens? How are we supposed to cover this one up?"

"If the pup here hadn't intervened it would have been fine," Frances said with a sneer at Kal.

Kal hears the slight twitch on the ground and lifts the dagger gently from Arania's mouth. "Wait, what the fuck?" he turns from Markus to Frances slowly. Ser Markus regards the northman with sad eyes.
"Just move, Stark. It's just...easier this way."

Frances spits on the ground, slowly having to accept that he was bleeding badly. "Markus... maester," He grumbles, leaning against a tree.

Markus is exasperated and rolls his eyes. "Do you want me to fucking carry you?! No, don't worry, I'll clean up this fucking mess, just like I've had to clean up the rest of your bullshit over the years. Tell Ellaria that Cassadar's men are back and have her stay with the Martells. FUCK. I have to do everything around here." He turns back to Kal Stark. "Fight's not with you, Stark. Just leave and Dorne and the North will be fine."
Kal Stark looks from one legend to the other, looks at Dawn, then turns his head to the prone body of Arania Hightower. He looks uncharacteristically nervous, then sets his jaw and raises Ice in front of him. "Fuck off, Dayne."

With his spear in a looser grasp, Frances Sand slips off into the night.
