"The Hightowers are my bannermen." he replied. "Why do you prefer an alliance with them rather than Highgarden?"

"Oldtown is far richer than Highgarden," Yronwood replied bluntly, his face a mask. "Lord Hightower's offer of dowry was very well made, and, strategically, he makes a fine ally."

Rycherd suddenly pushed away his wine cup as if it had become distasteful to him.
"Very well Lord Oberyn." he said coldly. "I shall look at other options. Dondarrion will have to wait."

Rycherd watched him go, deep in thought for a long while. He called for a guard, whispered a message to him and sent him off. He then strode out of his pavilion and headed in the other direction.
