"I am surprised you hadn't already; I had hoped you could tell me what was going on from their side of the story. I just...dammit, Frances I can see going after the Hightower girl and getting in a fight...but why Markus?" He had a look on his face Benjen would recognize as one he used whenever thinking about Cassadar. "He trained me to fight, you know. He was like an older brother. I must know why he died." He looks up. "Not that it will matter in the end to most of our lords," he says frankly. "The wielder of Dawn has the same status in our lands as I have heard Rickon Stark does in yours."

Benjen nodded. "There will be screams of outrage, cries for blood, for the heads of those involved," He closed his eyes and massaged his forehead. Another thought struck him. "The Faith... did Ser Markus was an idol for them..."

"...They'll be wanting heads as well. I know." Prince Arthur shrugged. "My mother doesn't concern herself too much with religion; they'd rather have a man leading Dorne after all, but the formalities certainly must be observed." He lolled his head back. "The hawks will have their war if they want it now. Against the Reach, against the Kingsland...if the Faith calls for blood too many will answer it to stop. Even my uncle in Yronwood...I can only comfortable rely on Lords Fowler and Allyrion for sense and prudence, and if the Kingsland strikes back at Nightsong...not even Lord Fowler.

Benjen shakes his head, looking at the whiskey with an unspoken question, pouring should it so be allowed. "I believe we can avoid all out war, but skirmishes will happen... It will be up to my father what roll the North will play."

"Perhaps," Arthur nods, "But perhaps not. Our war isn't yours, I have no illusions in that regard. But the questions will start - have already started - asking how Dorne will respond to the heir to Winterfell slaying our most popular knight." He looked to Ben. "What would you be saying now, had Markus come out victorious?"

"There was no political motivation behind it, I would say," Benjen replied, taking a more reasonable sip of whiskey. "That Markus would have to come out and explain himself; that both our houses must judge him and come to a joint conclusion as to what will happen now."

"I agree," says Arthur. "But I cannot imagine either of our lords would agree to being judged by the other. And tensions have already been so high...and then there's the matter of this Hightower woman. Lord Bryce's tender feelings towards Oldtown are well-documented even before this."

"This is giving me a headache," Benjen said, nevertheless drinking more booze. "If you can placate Lord Bryce for now perchance I can convince Kal and Arania to come out of hiding. Tension between Dorne and the North is the last thing I wanted."

"All right. We'll talk later today, I hope." He rises.

//////////////////////////////////////////////// After hearing rumors ranging from Benjen Stark murdering the Sword of the Morning, to Ser Markus Dayne raping Arania Hightower and then killing himself, to Arania Hightower seducing and leading the young Dayne into an ambush so that the Hightowers could steal Dawn, Lord Oberyn made his way to the chambers of the Princess of Dorne, to attempt and verify what actually happened. This tournament was becoming a bigger and bigger nightmare by the day.

He walks into the antechamber, where the grim Dornish sit. Everyone is silent, except for the echoing crying of Ellaria Dayne. Lord Bryce's face is a mask, whilst Ser Frances Sand is bandaged. Princess Nalya looks at Lord Oberyn but doesn't break the silence. He does note the greatsword is lying on the floor, though, so rumors of its theft were exaggerated.

Prince Benjen arrived to speak with the Dornish again.

The majority of the Dornish lords are having it out in the meeting areas, and only a few wait in the main antechamber now. Prince Arthur Martell is among them, as is his younger sister Nina and Ellaria Dayne. In front of his path is lying the greatsword Dawn, dried blood still on its blade, no one seeming to have the willpower to clean it off.

"Prince Arthur," Benjen said, nodding to the man. "I have spoken with Kal Stark and Arania Hightower, as well as my father," He stated.

He waves the men and the two women into his own quarters. "What was said, Prince Benjen?"
