Arlong looks puzzled, "Where in the bloody hells have you been! Damn it Jon, you're supposed to be my guard...my ass hurts for being on this fucking horse...."

"I was talking to a hightower girl..." He grinned. "She was a cunt... but give time to time..."

//// Rycherd Tyrell returns to his tent after meeting with Beric Hightower to receive messengers, reports and personal visits from his various bannermen. Lord Morrys Tarly arrives at his tent, the morning after everything went to hell. "Lord Rycherd," he offers with a small bow, a firm grasp of etiquette never his strong point. He is personally somewhat unlikeable but his sword and military skills are invaluable.

Lord Rycherd, himself a soldier and used to mixing with those below his station did not normally care for formalities. Moreover he respected Lord Tarly's military ability even though he was not fond of him personally. So he ignored Tarly's seeming lack of proper etiquette.
"Lord Tarly. You have something to report?" he said.

Lord Morrys nodded. "Eight dead from last night's...festivities. Times four wounded." He shrugged. "Rumor is that old bastard Cassadar is behind some of it, maybe with the Starks."

Ryhcerd raised an eyebrow. "The assassin? For what purpose I wonder. And amongst the dead, is there anyone of importance?"

"Meghan Lannister. They say the Stark heir had a hand in it, though that seems...unlikely." Morrys taps the pommel of his Valyrian sword. "King Kyle will be...unhappy."

Rycherd had seen much in his his thirty one years and by this stage of his life was usually unflappable. But even he was startled by the news. Murders of high born noblewoman in peacetime were uncommon.
"Gods" he breathed. "Meghan! The King will be beside himself with fury."

"Indeed, my lord. She was his favorite of the generation, even ahead of his daughters." Morrys's hand kept tapping the pommel, as was his habit when he got excited. "Blood will speak for blood, surely."

"I fear so." said Rycherd, who was well versed in the deprivations that war brought to the combatants.
"I must see the King. Where is he at the moment Tarly?"

"The castle; he's been in a meeting with the other monarchs for some hour or so now. I had been guarding the entrance on his behalf until Lord Commander Brax could relieve me."

"So does he know?" asked Rycherd. "And where has Meghan's body been taken?"

"He is very aware, my lord. Her body is being interred somewhere in the keep; I've not seen it myself." Morrys looked positively antsy; Justin Mallister was well-known as his greatest enemy, and he was always at the vanguard of a northern army.
