They see the massive building already set up for their arrival, food and drink abounding. The Starry Sept, which they passed on the way, is bright and decorated in a carefully tasteful manner. Lord Beric and Ser Alaric Hightower greet the Tyrells as they approach.

Lord Rycherd dismounts, helping in turn his sister and mother off their mounts. Taking Joanna's hand, he turns towards where Lord Beric and his son Alaric are waiting.
"My lord. Ser." he acknowledges each in turn. May I introduce to you my sister Joanna Tyrell."

Lod Beric uses a cane now, but seems in quite high spirits, and Ser Alaric delicately kisses her hand. "My lady, it's a great pleasure to meet you."

Rycherd smiled as Joanna curtseyed to her future husband and gave the appropriate response. He turned to his mother and beckoned her forward gently.
"And of course I cannot forget my beloved mother, the daughter of King Tommen. She is here to help prepare my sister for the wedding." He looked towards Lord Beric. "No doubt you two have much to reminisce about."

Beric chuckles. "Old times aren't always gone, Lord Rycherd. Please, come in for some wine and venison."

Rycherd face broke into a grin. "Excellent. I'm famished after our journey and I'm sure my sister and mother are too." He ushered his female relatives along as they made their way into where the feast was laid out.

The bounty of House Hightower is great, and the tables are laid out with anything they care to eat, except oysters, to which Lord Beric is allergic and will not allow. He takes his seat with his son next to him. "I hear the Faith is besieging Blackhaven."

Rycherd nodded, as he reached for a chicken wing.
"So I hear. That was rather presumptuous of them."

"I happen to agree. This edict reinforced the Kingsland already, that fool Ashford and those men leaving, and now the Faith seeks to draw us into a war. I don't much care for it." He shrugs. "Anyway, I do trust the weather for your trip was pleasant?"

"The weather has been very pleasant." replied Rycherd. He glanced toward his sister and Ser Alaric who appeared to be getting to know each other better.
"All I can say at this stage is that the Edict has had the desired effect. Possible malcontents taken care of in the Reach and trouble in the Stormlands. We shall of course remain vigilant in the face of further developments."

Beric nods. "As you say, my lord." Musicians play soft music. "The Dornish bleeding out in the Kingsland won't cause me to lose any sleep, either."

Rycherd raised his cup slightly in acknowledgement of the older man's astuteness.
"Indeed. We shall of course hope for a victory for the forces of righteousness."

Beric chuckles as he follows the mock toast. "Indeed, for hope is cheap and free of risk." He stabs his venison and chews it thoughtfully.

Rycherd chuckled also.
"And when do you envisage the nuptials of Alaric and Joanna taking place?" he asked after a short pause.

"Two days? Give you a day to relax after your journey, but time enough for you to return to Highgarden. Events aren't waiting on any man, now. Does this meet your approval?"
