"I suppose, but I wish we'd not have anything to do with any of them," she grumbled. "They've been our enemies for so long now I find I don't want to trust any of them. I just know half of them would rather stab me in the back than shake my hand and the other half...."
She made a lewd gesture with her fingers.
"Any man that tries will get a blade in him. But...what is Slaver's Bay to the likes of me? Nothing, that's what."
She sighed and sat on a crate that had been given them for seating.
"Ugh! A long voyage and for no good purpose, I'll wager."

"You can buy something nice in Volantis when we stop." Malryas's voice was slightly mocking, slightly annoyed. "There is great purpose in this voyage. Think on who we are going to see."

"Oh? What's all that to me? I'm a simple creature, I care nothing for politics and backstabbing and expanding our horizons," Dacey grumbled. "ANd I don't care about nice things either."

"Do you know who King Torrhen Stark was?" Malryas opened a bottle of wine he'd bought or stolen and poured a small cup.

"The King who knelt? I've heard of him. Everyone has. I don't know if I would have knelt. Bloody coward."

"You didn't see Harrenhal before they destroyed it. Apparently it was even bigger than Casterly Rock, and a certain family turned it into ash in a single day. Do you perchance know their names?"

"You mean the Targaryens? But aren't the dragons all dead now?" Dacey asked.

"Everyone so assumes. But there are whispers, disturbing whispers from the East. Queen Daenerys may have hatched and raised three. We heard one died half a century ago, but we know nothing of the other two. If the human dragons possess some reptilian ones...well, surely you can connect the dots." Malryas's voice was deathly soft. "And if they are alive...they cannot be allowed to threaten Westeros."

"You mean us to kill the dragons, then?"
Dacey shivered.
"But dragons can't be easy to kill."

"Low standards a wet dick make. Once I shut my eyes they're all the same." He takes another drink and belches rudely. A man glares at him, and Ser Clarence just laughs, then belches again, even louder. "What exactly do you need inna woman, Greyjoy? Other than your cock?" "Fair point. But I've been savin' myself for a nice Lannister lass." He laughed then took a gulp of ale. "Tell you what, if things go to shit we'll steal as much as we can. If the stories are true the Targaryen women are the finest creatures." Coming back with a Targaryen girl would definitely put a thorn in his brother's side.

Malryas looked at her in exasperation. "Of course not. The thought is absurd. As I said, their very existence is open to speculation. We'll find out what the truth is, and then we'll take the knowledge back to Eddard's Rest and let the king sort out the matter. Also, we've heard rather disturbing reports from the Free Cities and New Ghis as well, so we are the eyes and ears of the entire kingdom. We'll leave the dragonslaying for those who wish to make history by dying vaingloriously."

"Savin' yerself?" Ser Clarence laughed hard at that. "Well, maybe a dragon girl'd be nice. 'less she actually breathes fire of course. I plan on stealing as much as I can anyway. I ain't getting paid enough for this to start with."

"As you wish. I'm better with the longbow or wielding daggers in the dark. Dragonslaying isn't something I'd care to try. I'm not a fighter in the true sense."
Dacey shrugged.
"What reports would those be, my lord? I can't investigate if I don't know what I'm looking for."

"You'll get your share. All we have to do is watch over these greenlanders for a little while. And it might sound strange but we'll need to make a few friends in those cities. Someone has to buy the shit we steal after all." His thoughts turned to the job that he was tasked with and he took another gulp of ale. Dealing with the other westerosi on top of having to talk to the people of the free cities would provide a bigger headache than the worst of hangovers. "Keep that axe of yours sharp."

Clarence just spat on the ground in response to the last statement. "Well, I suppose we should board this wooden behemoth. Maybe we'll steal that, too..." He stands to head out the door.
Malryas smiled thinly. "For now, just make some friends among the crew. I'll tell you more later. Once I've finished my own planning."
