Harris nodded. "Was thinking the same thing myself. Might head south a while and visit my aunt in Old Oak." He seemed to consider something a moment. "Makes he wonder where the old lord hears all these tales, anyway. Folks usually damned quiet 'round here."

Harris nodded. "If we all go, that old lord'll get suspicious," he said. Lysander, the other female outlaw Rowan knows, comes up and hands them some wine.
"Drink up Row! Look like yer attendin' a wake!"

Rowan takes the drink and takes a decent swallow 'hallo.. thank yeh.. bah.. harris ben drinking that fire stuff heh likes. Bleh. This is much nicer.'

Lysa nods. "Thanks," she said. The wine has an odd tint to the taste, a bit salty, really. It's quite peculiar. "You know," she said, "we heared some girl went off blabbing about being kidnapped the other day," she noted.

Rowan eyes her curiously and shrugs 'Guess it takes all sorts tah make a living.. some geve a pretty coin for heh then?'
Rowan takes another sip of the wine and rolls it about their mouth a moment before spitting it back in the cup 'ah think yeh wines off.. tastes funneh.'

"That's the thing," she said, and Rowan sees everyone looking at them now, "she said she saw a slave ship, no people selling them." Rowan hears Ellyn's voice screaming outside.
Harris and Ben and Carl look grim, while the strange men look impassive. "Lying is no way to go through life," Harris said with a trace of sadness.

Rowan frowned 'Eh is no lying.. dah man was injured and bleeding eh hit em meh self.. an eh gal wen a long way 'for eh lost heh trail.' Rowan said sticking to the bare truth, for Rowan did hit the man hard and did lose her trail as they did not trail the swimmers in to their village. 'What slavers?' After all they have only Ellyn's word it was slavers.. Rowan saw people rowing to a ship but has only conjecture and assumption not hard fact to lie about.

Harris nodded. "Of course," he said, "but when heads are on the line...well," he sighed, and the two silent men draw daggers, "it is better yours than mine," he admitted. "I recommend you go quiet. Ellyn took a while to break...but," the bandit is dragged in by two giant men, bruised and bound up, "she did break. You've called the law on us, Rowan,".Harris shook his head sadly, "but at least we can make some profit off your betrayal."

Rowan looks at him incredulously 'eh has called neh law on neh one?!' Rowan looks around at the men and impassivley as their eyes pass Ellyn 'wat barrel yeh had yeh head in Harris? Yeh forgotten is meh trade too? Why would eh reports anyone?' Rowan's feeling somewhat betrayed and thinks despite trying to set Ellyn's mind at ease it was the wrong thing to do. Seriously you try to do good and it bites you in the bits. 'Profit? Betrayal? Eh has betrayed none here.. what 'ell yah planning wit meh Harris?'
Diplomacy 15? (Rowan has nothing in persuasion)

"We're sending you off," he said. "These kindly men gave us a whole gold coin for someone who can be a man or a woman depending on the master's mood," he shrugged. "Betrayal or not, you're a liability. You have to be taken off the books," he said. "Sorry."
The men with the daggers approach Rowan. "Turn around, now," one said. "This don't have to be painful."

Rowan looks at Harris more angry than any of the outlaws have ever seen them be.
Rowan looks at the two men with knives 'what are yeh gonna do with them?' Rowan looks like they could likely be cooperative if its in their interest to be and if reasoned with and if treated nicely.

"We're taking you with us," the men say. "And your girlfriend here. You're getting a new home. No more snows for you."

"No reason to hurt anyone," the man who was dressed different from the other foreigners said, "I promise you can make more money with us than with these...people," he said. "Uniqueness should be celebrated, not hidden. Have you ever heard of Yunkai?" He asked. "I doubt it, but trust me when I say it is a city quite unlike any other."
