The following morning the red priests and priestesses were publicly beheaded to great fanfare. Killion held his defensive position, awaiting either word of fealty from the Crownland lords, rejection of his terms, or word from his Goldland allies.

Upon receiving a raven from Queen Joanna, Killion left ten thousand he men at King's Landing and set sail for Storm's End with the majority of the Eastern Fleet, to bombard the great castle from the sea and cut off the Kingsland host's last means of retreat.
