Benjen had waited for an agonizingly long time, tired but unable to shut his eyes should Riley come out of her trance. When she finally did he nodded, turning to his aides. "Inform the other commanders that the Others have been found." He turned to Riley. "How many days march?"

"If they stay still? Two?" She shrugs. "We have to cross the river though."

"That'll be dangerous, as it doesn't seem completely frozen in certain places," Benjen said, sounding annoyed. Nothing was ever easy. "Your magic is water based, is it not? Is there something you could do to help us with a crossing?"

Is there something you could do to help us with a crossing?" "I'll freeze it in a corridor wide enough to cross," she said. Kalvin frowned. "Will be tough relying on that single line for supplies, Ben. Maybe we can flank around the river, just send scours across for now."

"Maybe, but I don't want the scouts to get stuck in a position facing thousands of the undead," Benjen said, frowning. When Ilvar arrived he waved the man closer. "Do you know of any alternate ways to get to where the Others are quickly?"

Ilvar considered, thought carefully, and then shook his head. "Not in the numbers you desire, no. A few men could, even a small army, but that is a different gamble. I will look." He laid on the floor, then appeared to simply fall asleep.

"We're waiting on this man to find us a safer way up north," Benjen said, nodding to Ilvar. "We have attained the location of the Others but need a safer way to get the host there than the frozen river."

Kalvin frowned. "He is their servant," he said. "We have the best eyes in Westeros here. Give me fifty men from each camp and the Crowl and I will find a trail the Others DON'T want us to take."

Benjen frowned down at the man. "Could just kill him now... at least this body." He sighed and nodded to Kal. "Take the men and go."

Lord Stark nodded and set off. He heads to find his wife, his hulking juggernaut bannerman, and anyone else who is bored.

Ilvar wakes up, then crawls wearily to a nearvy map. He bites into a finger, then marks out a massive blank white spot with his blood. "The Sea of Names. That's all I can tell you. My role is fulflilled, your grace..."
