Or as much sense, as say, someone only rping in a secret board. Well yeah but no one would do that. That sort of antisocial behavior would take a unique and bizarre mix of cold disdain for your fellow players and narcissism. Chill, Zack. Just because you have no lands left to protect doesn't mean none of us do. Right I totally forgot your valiant defense of Lannisport. My bad. You're clearly qualified for the position.

I had my doubts, but you're right. No one even remotely human would find that enjoyable.

I just hate the word Wardeness because it sounds fucking stupid. Warden is a gender neutral term.

Much like Maekar's niece or Benny.

Yeah but an honorary title for military commanders. This isn't a gender issue. If she was a female with a high command skill, I wouldn't have said a word.
But clearly Benny's command prowess was sexually transmitted.

All military commanders are good at commanding? I think history would disagree, all sorts of titles have been handed out to people who didn't fit the needs of the position.

Haha alright I'll drop the issue when I see her leading the West's army. I only hope I'm on the other side of that fight.

Being in charge of the armies is different from commanding. General eisenhower planned and directed D Day but youwerent going to find him on the beach.

And what are her qualifications for doing so? Besides playing sexual/marital bingo with Westeros' best land commanders.

Who says she needs anything more than that, Cersei commanded armies, all she had to do was fuck some commanders, and coerce the rest.

Which gets me back to the original point that Lady of the West (don't get me started on that) already covers that responsibility and provides military authority. The title Warden doesn't mean anything without the Iron Throne.

So, it's an antiquated title, that was kept going for tradition, or any number of reasons. There are tons of titles like that in both Asoiaf, and the real world.
