Having left the dark God Elmangoreth in his black done to the north, Oriax has been free to wander the North, and after a string of murders blamed on the willing outlaws of the area feels more than confident enough to launch his assault on the heart of the North.

Oriax the Invincible:
90 small blades (wields the White Stalker, automatically heavy hits if he rolls over 160 regardless of opponent's roll) 120 ritualism 100 fire 110 shadow 110 ice
Has recently slain 40 people.
Oriax begins his assault with the opposite of subtlety, seeking to draw the guards from the castle by sending a few dozen dead men into the underpopulated and unsuspecting town.

Round 1:
The six arrive as Winterfell's gates open and men come out, fighting the wights and shepherding people to the supposed safety of either the castle or the town square. Oriax's first spell is brutal, as he freezes the gates open, cracking the heavy steel beams and rendering them useless. Jeddicus and Amelia and Riley and the three adepts are about a quarter mile away from him when he sees them....(rp time)

"Jeddicus, this is a treat." Oriax said in greeting at the unmistakable sight of his old rival, not having to raise his voice as it magically carried over the chill air, giving the unsettling illusion that the former adept was whispering in his ear rather than projecting it across the distance that separated them. "I see you have brought friends. Am I to take it I have been named a rival by the council?" he sounded amused rather than threatened. "Two in one century. That is unprecedented."

"Rival is not the word they used," he said grimly. "this is an execution, not an appeal," he said. "I should thank you for stamping my ticket into the Council. Your corpse will be coin enough to rule Asshai once I return." He ignores the horde of dead. "Your new allies smell worse than your old ones, and having been here for years I can vouch that that is quite an accomplishment." The three women with him are starting to arm spells. Riley looks to the castle in a bit of shock.
"THIS is Oriax? Perhaps Vhagus was underestimating him after all."

Amelia simply nodded at Riley, her mind already opening the channel to her powers, knowing this would be a difficult fight. She remained quiet - if Oriax wished to comment on her presence then he could.

Every round each combatant picks an element to use and I roll it. Fire gets 20 to anyone opposing with ice. Ice gets 20 to anyone using shadow. Shadow gets 20 to anyone using fire. Every time oriax gets a hit he gets five extra ability from subjugate. He wins if he kills everyone (-100 spell damage) or if his army of the dead inflicts 200 casualties on the town and castle of Winterfell, at which point he charges his ritual skill to finish the job he came for. Message me which element is being used every round for Amelia and Oriax

"Indeed, it is an execution, just not mine." the pearl handled dagger sprang from his robes into his open hand, its steel blade replaced with a crystalline metal. It was the first time in a long time he had not felt bored. Perhaps it was the temporary separation from his dark passenger or perhaps simply the first chance to kill something he did not view as another upjumped ape. After all, a lion could take no pride in slaying sheep. "You always were trailing in my footsteps Jeddicus. I tell you from experience that a gold mask granted holds far less value than the one you forge."
Feeling the three adepts arming their spells, Oriax adopted a tone of mild annoyance.
"No manners with the new adepts. No respect for their elders." he tutted, concentrating on the ground beneath their feet, attempting to send massive spikes of ice up from the ground into their bodies, like a winter-themed Vlad the Impaler. "Just dogs leashed by the Council. No matter, they shall all be free soon enough."
He felt Amelia but left her presence but left it unremarked. He would save her for last. Compared to the Asshaii present she was of little note.

As soon as Oriax had finished speaking and the spikes of ices rolled up towards the adepts, Amelia raised her hands and drew deep. She summoned forth a ball of fire which she fired at her former tutor, hoping to would prove surprise enough to do some damage.
Fire Calling: 92
Fires of Wrath: Amelia gains +10 to any fire rolls on an adversary who has ever landed a successful wound on her, succeeded on an intimidate roll against her, or struck her.

Round 2:
Amelia: 185 (20 for going against ice) Jeddicus: 123 (-20) Fire: 182 Ice: 153 (-10) Shadow: 95 (-20 against ice) (-35) Riley: 165
Oriax: 173 (-10)
Amelia's fireball smashes into Oriax, managing to hurt him a tad, and for a second he feels a rush of...pride perhaps, as the Adept of Shadow and Ice, and even the Councilman himself all seem to have no counter for the sorcerer. Riley dodges spells but her watery counterstroke washes right off the rogue sorcerer.
Winterfell's guard: 152 Zombies: 127
Jon Stark leads a counterattack on the dead, dirtying from the castle, and his men lose only a dozen or so to the horde, although they will have to kill them too, now.
Winter fell guard: 85 Zombies: 210
Civilians: 1200
The zombies get civilians if they out roll the guard, and they get three civilians per point by which they out roll the guard.

Oriax turns his attention to the shadows cast by the spikes of ice protruding from the ground, oily black tentacles rising up to rend his foes. He could smell the blood of the wounded as it dripped upon the snowy landscape, it feeling an eternity ago when it ran in his own veins, black eyes glinting with malice as he closed the distance clutching his cherished blade, the last vestige of his mortal life.

Amelia felt a small amount of surprise at her fire doing some damage thought she did not let that distract her. Instead she funneled the shadows near her around herself, gathering them in a thick layer before forming them into impossibly sharp spears and thrusting them at Oriax.

Round 3:
Amelia: 150 (20) Jeddicus: 100 (-40 for using fire into shadow) (dead) Fire: 132 (-35) Ice: 143 (-30 now) Shadow: 102 (dead) Riley: 167 (-10)
Oriax: 183 (-20 now, Riley's passive)
The death tentacles smash aside lances of fire and ice and shadow, and the fire Mage of the east is dragged to hell by the dark sorcerer. Everyone is hit over and again by the dark kraken summoned from shadow and smoke and flame, and only Riley's ability to turn the strongest magics back on an opponent make him feel any pressure at all.
Winter fell: 134 Zombies: 168 (eat 100 people, 64 more to go)
The zombies, growing in number, finally break the guard line and run amok through the town, killing the old and slow and the young and brace who try stopping them.
Guard: 68 Zombies: 311 Townsfolk: 800 (many fleeing)
