Arthur Tyrell and Lord Dustin arrive at the ruins of Winterfell. A few hundred people have come back, but the place looks like it was hit by a bomb. The walls are burned and scarred bland curiously melted-looking in places.
Arthur gazed around in astonishment, asking questions of the a couple of people about what happened here.

"It were that masked wizard! HE came by and wrecked everything with that cloud of his!" a woman said. "Raised up the dead and annihlated the castle, he did. Killed half the town or more!"

"We will deal with this wizard." promised Arthur. "Already we have defeated and burned an army of these undead. Rebuild your homes and keep the fires burning strong."
He turned to Lord Dustin. "I need to send a raven to seek news of what is happening in the south. If the undead have attacked the Goldlands, then we shall need to return home. If not we shall deal with them in the North."

He nods. "Do it. We'll be headed north soon, since this area seems secure enough for now. But some rest is a good plan, give us time to scout for more pockets of them."

Arthur did so, sending ravens to Brightwater Keep, Riverrun and Vikary Hall inquiring after the health of various members of his family and in-laws the same day and asking for news. He ordered his men to scout around Winterfell, in conjunction with Lord Dustin's, looking for more undead.

Word reaches them, days later, of the king's death. A succession crisis seems imminent. The undead they find are scoured and destroyed.

Arthur chewed his lip in consternation as he read the news of the death of the King and the competing claims of Joanna Lannister and the late king's sister Kelsey Baratheon. This was all they needed.
He was torn between the need to return home to secure his lands and continuing north to help fight the Dead. He recalled that Brynden's widow was the Stark King's daughter. There was also the question of the thousand men that Maekar has taken north to consider. That swayed him.
They would continue north he informed Lord Dustin.

After all that's happened up north, those hailing from Winterfell, and the new lady of the North arrive back home.
Robyn looks round to assess the damage, and see what's left of her childhood home.

There's plenty left, but the stone is scorched black and the outer edges of the godswood have died. The town is packed with the castle's inhabitants and those fleeing winter, but the refurbishment goes on and on. The old ruined tower has been restored as Kalvin's first priority, seeing as work was being done anyway, and it is now ready to take residents. Kalvn looks at it. "Been ruiend for two hundred years....no longer," he said. "The walls are next."

"It'll be magnificent again when it's done," Robyn assured him, linking arms with his and leaning against his side, "formidable as ever."

"Ready to move in? They've been waiting for us to...christen the repairs," he said with a wink. "And I had all your belongings from Eddard's Rest sent north. You have some decorating to do. Our new chamber is...rather large and on the top floor. It'll keep you in shape," he joked.
The repaired keep is a hundred thirty feet high and offers a commanding view of the surrounding lands, miles of moors and forests and lakes.

"How rude!" She said but grinned, "I hope I will stay in shape, stairs or not, but.,. You may need to carry me when I'm carrying your child."
When they made the long trek up the stairs, Robyn looked round the room, glad she did not have that much stuff to relocate, "plenty of room for us to make a bed up for shadow in here too," she said, looking round at her husband, then patting her leg to call the puppy to her, before looking out at the scene, "oh kalvin, it's so beautiful. What are you calling the tower?"

"Call it?" He looks sheepish. "Uh...the Robyn's Nest? Hell I didn't think up a name for it," he said. There's a bed and some dressers of clothes, an armoire and a weapons rack. "Does...uh, the dog have to live up here?"
