Cassana is bouncing little Lyanna when Benjen enters, looking a bit glum. Another woman who looks faintly like the princess but blonde and green eyed is nearby, watching everything with a slight, vacant stare. "Ben!" Cassana says, rushing to him with their daughter, hugging him. "Is it true, then?"

"It is," Benjen said, letting himself smile. It was becoming harder and harder. "The Wall has fallen and I will need to ride to Winterfell soon to take command of the forces. How are you and the children? And..." he turned to the woman.

"Lyria, say hello to my husband," she said. The girl looks up blankly at him then blinks a few times.
"Hello," she said dully. Cassana frowns, but sighs.
"She's had...a bad time of it. Let me go with you," she said. "And Lyria. She needs something to take her mind off the past, and there is no stronger magic user in Westeros...with Amelia's betrayal," she hissed. "And my own brother's."

Benjen nodded, giving Cassana another squeeze. "I fear Rhaegys is lost to us as well, unless your brother decides to aid Westeros?" He asked her before letting her go. "We... we really need dragons."

"Sirius has joined Vhagus," she finally said. "New Ghis betrayed his forces on the border and threaten Yunkai. They sacked the Isle of Cedars and killed thousands." She shook her head. "I have already written for aid with the Oriax threat, both to Sirius and Vhagus, but I am not sure what sort of answer I will get."

"We will have to hope then," Benjen said, looking down. "Is Lyria in a condition to help us?" He asked quietly. "She looks... perturbed and distracted." He frowns. "I would not want any harm to befall her."

"She will recover; she is a real dragon like me," she said, giving her a hug. "She misses Nicholas and Robyn, I think, but there's no time for that now." She hands her Lyanna and she perks up a bit as she bounces her. "She has just bee thoruhg a lot, but if she doesn't want to endure more...we must force the dead back beyond the Wall. She can help with that. Can't you?"
Lyria brushes her hair back as she plays with the baby girl, and Benjen can see she'd be phenomenally beautiful if her vacant look would disappear. "I can," she said. "I can help." As Benjen watches, Lyanna's clothes begin to randomly change colors and even, it seems, materials, before settling back.

"What..." Benjen said, confused for a moment before realising that the woman was using her magic. "I see... we need all the help we can get. I hope you will feel better again soon, Lyria." Benjen smiled and turned to his wife.
"My father said you had something weighing on your mind."

"My family," she said. "They have all turned to Vhagus now. And..." she sighed. "so much of this is my fault. I got Vhagus banished in the first place, I helped him find the eggs he is hatching..." she shook her head. "Daena is fleeing here, I think, avoiding marriage to Sirius. He...he is the real madman of the family, Benjen. The one who our cursed blood hurts the most."

Benjen embraced his wife again. "Don't blame yourself, Cassana. You do not control their actions and motives. What they do is... is their own doing, not yours." He kissed her on the cheek. I had hoped Daena was coming anyway, or so the arrangement had been."

She frowned but kissed him back. "Well, we need something for her. If she's left idle gods alone know what will happen," she rolled her eyes. "She's the wild one, for sure. But we need an army," she said. "I haven't been idle in the yard. Your mother can watch the children."

"Is there anything Daena is good at? She's not a fighter, I hear, but maybe something else?" Benjen went over to Eddard, who sat quietly in a corner. He already promised to be the silent type, ever watching and listening but rarely talking. He ruffled his sons hair before looking back to Cassana. "I don't know why Amelia betrayed us but I am not willing to accept it was purely for her own needs."

"Gulltown could fund this damned war itself with her there," she said. "We'd best hope Hector knows to stay put and not try playing the hero." Eddard looked at him and hugged his leg, refusing to let go for the moment. "Daena is actually, to all our shock, not a bad governess, from what we heard of her time in Mantarys." She frowned. "If she can be trusted. Your father is rather...upset with her, so you know."

"If she's a good governess then we send her to Gulltown," Benjen said. "With someone else maybe to keep an eye on her and Hector." He picked Eddard up and held him up high.
