Benjen nodded. "I wish I could help but there are more important things for myself to deal with. That and I'd rather not be anywhere hot again to soon. I met some of your Order friends in the east. Your husband I would like to meet however."

Ellaria nodded. "I had heard you ran into my cousin," she said. "And Nick's sister," she added. "Symon will be abck shortly. Have a glass and wait for him," she suggested. "I promise Dayne hospitality is going back to its roots."

"That is good to know," Benjen said, pouring some wine. "Your cousin Cedric, yes, the new Sword of the Morning. Has Kal Stark sent you back your sword yet? If not I'll make sure he does."

"Months ago," she said. "As soon as we reclaimed the castle. Our issues are in the past," she said. "Cedric has some interesting ideas, I know, but he is no false knight to bear Dawn."

"He is not, I have seen him fight," Benjen commented, sipping his wine. "In truth the dragons make me nervous, though I am not entirely convinced of their connection to all magic in the world."

Ellaria shrugged. "It makes sense that there is some correlation. Valyria had the world's strongest sorcerers, after they tamed dragons." She drained her glass. "I can accept their eccentricities because they have gold and men and ships, and they don't have any vendetta against anyone on Westeros," she said.

"Apart from my wife's family," Benjen corrected her, sounding mildly unimpressed. "I spoke with them shortly, out in the east, and it seems their intents are genuine. Who knows, though. We've all known betrayal more than enough times."

Ellaria narrows her eyes just slightly. "I hardly need to be reminded of that, Ben. If Cedric truly wishes harm on your wife then he will have to go through you, and your entire family. I assure you he will not." She left the result of the last time a Sword of the Morning had thrown down against a Stark unspoken.

"I did not mean to imply anything there, sorry Ellaria," Benjen stated, holding up one hand. "How are things apart from the rebuilding of Starfall and Dorne?"

"Well enough," she shrugged. "Those occupy all my time. Truth be told, I haven't left Starfall since I moved there other than for this," she said. "My only other hobby is trying to find my...brother and that harlot wife of his. He hasn't been called to account yet."

"Frances..." Benjen said as he stared into his glass. "What is the last known location of your half brother and his... wife?"

"They got kicked out of Volantis," she said, "but I think they've been banding some real criminals together. I suspect they'll seek to set up on the Basilisk Isles, where they'll be right at home with the denizens." She shook her head. "I'd prefer he die, but staying out of Westeros will suffice."

"The Basilisk Isles, hm? At least that is far, far away. Likely they'll just get gutted by some pirates, or killed by basilisks." Benjen finished his wine and poured some more. "How are you? I mean really... the trauma and everything."

"Oh, the nightmares still plague me," she said, "but dreams aren't real, and my father is dead." She swallowed the dryness in her mouth. "Life is better than it ever has been for me."

"I am happy for you, Ellaria," Benjen said, with a genuine smile. "I do however owe your cousin a scar and some cracked ribs. I am sure he told you of our... confrontation."
