Arthur nodded. "My new stepfather is keen for me to learn as much as I can, under his tutelage. And of course the only way I can do that is to compete in these sort of events."

Cersei nodded. "He is not what I would have asked for in a son-in-law." She said in a low voice. "I had envisaged you marrying a lord of the Reach or the West. Your uncle Rycherd had intended that for you." She smiled weakly. "But there is little we can do about that now. The North is so far away though. And cold."

"Uncle Rycherd should have sent me North himself, to keep the North out of the war," she said. "We could have crushed the bastards if they hadn't been around." She makes a face. "But wealthy," she said. "I had never imagined the Dreadfort would have so much wealth."

Joanna Lannister arrives mid-festivities with a small retinue, including her Stormlander knight. She'd of course sent word ahead for servants to set up her pavilion.

The palatial tent is ready, with its six rooms for different activities. It is rather near her husband's. Joanna sees the area is a bit overpopulated but well maintained for hygiene.

"But wealthy," she said. "I had never imagined the Dreadfort would have so much wealth." "The North is responsible for much of our current woes." declared Cersei. "How different it would be had Rycherd prevailed outside Kings Landing." She drew a heavy sigh. "But that is for naught now. We must do the best we can with what we have. As long as your husband is kind and treats you well, I shall make no further objections to your marriage."

"What will objections do anyway?" She asked. "Divorce is a greater dishonor than anything." Eleanor looked to her brother. "And how is home?"

Arthur shrugged. "The same as it always is. Mother thinks it is time I saw some of the world outside Brightwater Keep. Hence I am squired to her new husband. And she wants me to marry."

"Isn't it time you ruled?" She asked. "You're getting old for a squire, my dear brother." She frowned at Cersei. "He can't be a boy forever, mother." She runs a hand through her hair. "The Reach is rebuilding and those awful cousins of ours got Highgarden while we play squires."

"Arthur is sixteen." Cersei replied to her daughter. "His time is coming. And soon. He needs to be prepared and my new husband is the closest thing to a father he's ever had. His uncle tried to take him under his wing, but his frequent wars meant that he was unable to devote much time to Arthur's tutelage in the arts of war and rulership. Lyonel will do so, has agreed to do so for my sake. Arthur rules his lands but he does so with appropriate guidance, when necessary or when he asks for such advice."

Eleanor shrugged. "Very well then." She looked about. "The baby in my belly gives me a terrible hunger. May we eat?"

Cersei looked immediately concerned. "Of course my love. Arthur, help your sister to her seat." As Arthur did so, Cersei found another chair. "Now, my dear, surely you must have some idea of who from the Northern families might be a suitable match for your brother.
Arthur rolled his eyes at his stepfather, who looked stern for a moment, but then winked at him.

"He's too young to want a widow," she said. "Tully and Manderly have more sisters than I'd care to count, or maybe Frey. But," she said, "of course the real prize is Princess Robyn, but that isn't likely," she said with a Roll of her eyes. "if she ever gets married at all."

"Her blood is worthy of a Tyrell certainly." Cersei replied. "However not suitable for what Arthur needs. Perhaps a Lannister, Arryn or Tully might be more suitable. Even a Baratheon. There was the Hightower girl, but she has wed elsewhere." Lyonel noted that Cersei had left the name of the girl's husband unsaid.

"Ambitious," Eleanor said. "but Tully has the grand daughters and he is going to die soon," she said. "I don't know of any Lannisters now."
