A crossbow bolt flies over his head. After a moment, a tall man in red lobstered armor calls back. "Thousands of us do," he said.

"Good!" Benjen called back, a savage grin on his face. "Tell all of your men that Prince Benjen Stark has arrived to make your lives hell! The wolf and the dragon will destroy your forces!"
With that he waved his sword at the Dothraki to signal a return across the river, back to their own forces.

Some days later, the great black dragon arrives at last. Vhagus and Prince Killion disembark. The emperor stares at the river with undisguised annoyance. "More numerous than you thought, Prince Benjen?"

Prince Benjen was surprised by the arrival of the Greyjoy.
"I had not thought a commander could keep that many men under his reins, though the force I lead into Dorne was not of unremarkable size." He turned to Killion with a curious expression. "Prince Greyjoy, an unexpected surprise."

Vhagus looks about at the reordering of the camp to better organize. "I knew you were better at this shit than me. We'll attack in two days."

Benjen brushed his hair out of his face. "Most of the foot are headed north to flank the enemy forces by the river. I've sent some of the sellsword out among the Dothraki to teach them a few words of Westerosi." He shakes his head. "Things will go much easier if I can be understood."

Killion was noticeably more disheveled and noticeably less cocksure then when he had left Tyrosh, flight clearly not agreeing with him as a roiling deck did. He took a moment to compose himself, trying not to lay down and hug the solid ground, almost hoping he'd die in the coming conflict so as to avoid the return flight.
"I could say the same of your presence, Prince Benjen." Killion replied, stretching his legs a bit before extending his hand, happy to see the man in the flesh rather than flames this time. "Unexpected, but not entirely unwelcome I hope."

"I can't say I was lying awake at night with the hopes of seeing you here," Benjen responded, shaking the man's hand. "There's some water here, but less the type you no doubt enjoy. Can you ride a horse?"

"Not well." he admitted, taking a swig of Sothyrosi thumb wine from a skin at his belt instead, before offering the exotic brew to the northern prince. "Prefer to be in the thick of things."

Benjen accepted the skin and drank from it, looking curiously at the bottle. "The infantry has gone north, though some footmen remain here for a charge." He eyed Killion for a moment. "Can I trust you to take command of them? They're a little rowdy but they fight well, so their company shouldn't be too strange for you."

"Sounds downright homey." he drolled, with a sly grin. "As for trust, we're all on the same side here far as I see it."

"Doesn't mean you're any good at commanding infantry," Benjen responded, before turning to Vhagus. "The Dothraki crossing will depend on both of the dragons holding the enemy forces back. Will you and Cassana be able to buy us enough time to get across the river?"

Vhagus looks to Benjen a moment, clearly thinking. "you'll have all the time a man could ask for," he said.

"That will have to do," Benjen responds. "Now, how about we find a bottle or five of something and drink them? Could be dead in two days."

Vhagus nods and looks across the river one last time before they find wine and liquor.
