"With endless armies, how can you lose?" Robyn asked, taking a seat and taking up a cup of wine, the heat making her thirsty.
The King was not how she imagined, she was not sure if she could articulate what she was expecting, but this was not it. It was not bad, just different. She expected someone sterner... perhaps.

"That's the problem," he said. "They aren't mine, nor are they particularly well inclined to me. Yi Ti is a land of millions upon millions," he exlained. "They are running out of arable farmland to feed their populace, and the old Qartheen trading vessels have been taken by Vhagus. So, they come west, now." He points to a jade statuette in the window overlooking the sea. "They sent me this," it is some sort of dragon with its head crudely chopped off. "Apparently they don't think I can understand subtle warnings."

"And you are worried their eyes may turn in other directions after their armies supposedly defeat the Blackfyre?" She looked over at the statue, everyone seemed to have enemies everywhere, it really was a sad world. "Perhaps not subtle ones... but this is far too subtle for me. Rather nice craftsmanship... except for the lack of head. We shall have to hope Vhagus is destroyed quickly then."

"Or very slowly," he said with a bit of annoyance. "Which leads to this." He offers them a letter from the emperor, proposing peace and setting recognizable boundaries between his massive lands and theirs.

Everywhere they went peaces and alliances seemed to pop up from no where.
Robyn read the letter a couple of times then handed it back, "Was this trip over a waste then, with peace on the horizon?" she asked, not believing from what she had heard of Vhagus that he would keep these terms for long, though in fairness, the people here would know him in actuality, not just from hear say. "people do not just propose peace though" especially when they seemed to have the upper hand.

The king looks at her. "Well, I hope not a waste even should peace come." He tossed the letter onto his desk. "Which it won't, I suspect. suspect. Vhagus is concerned Yi Ti's infinite resources can defeat him, magic or no. He killed eighty thousand men at some battle, I hear, and still lost the fortress he had been holding."

'At some battle' robyn thought, thinking it a very blasé way to put it, not answering the comment about visiting in peace.
"Can they?" she asked, meaning Yi Ti, that would be convenient, but then, less so if their attention then turned to Meereen, who they were not allied with.

"I htink so," he said. "Even dragons and wizards cannot kill EVERYONE." He shrugged. "But no matter who wins, we have to prepare for the victor."

"And who would you prefer to be victorious, a dragon riding wizard, or an infinite army?" She asked, wondering herself which she would want in her situation... both options were so appealing, if she had to choose, If the dragon riding wizard defeated the infinite army before getting to them, that would arguably be worse. She did not envy King Sirius being between this rock and Hard place.

"Both broken, ideally," he said. "But planning for both is going to be what I do. Securing alliances and building a host that can crush either of them is essential to our future." He smiled at her. "I had hoped a little more war is not something you'd oppose."

"I don't revel in war," she said to him, smiling back after a second, it seemed an odd thing to smile about, "But, if there are people threatening the freedom of my people..." she looked at Cassana briefly, "Or the family of my brothers new wife, well, we do what we have to." She had to admit, she had been a bit lost since the war ended, in the war she felt like she had a purpose, she did things... what was her goal now? Choosing between four men.

"Reveling in war is a sin," Sirius agreed. "But I've heard of the familial loyalty of the Starks. I do believe," he chuckled, "it led to a revolt against us in Westeros all those decades ago."

"Perhaps you should have ruled us better then?" She challenged, still smiling, "the lone wolf dies, the pack survives, as my father says" she badly paraphrased her father, as usual, "family is Important to us,"

"Perhaps," he said. "But time change, yes?" He looked about the room. "The pack can die too, if the winter lasts too long. Best to have a bigger pack."

"The bigger the pack, the stronger the pack" she agreed, "does winter ever touch here? I'd believe you if you said no"
