The bustling harbour of one of the bigger Free Cities.

The harbor is enormously busier now, as word of inevitable war spreads. Thousands of ships are in and out of port every day, most dodging the new Ironborn city of Tyrosh.

Kaliah of Lys arrives with her escort fleet. She is clad in a white dress and blue cloak. On her head is a curious wide brimmed hat which drapes her head with a sheer white see through veil. She wears blue satin gloves, which she seldom removes.
She is escorted by several Lysene guardsmen into the city on her way to speak to the leaders of Myr.

Myr is enormously rich and powerful, and the addition of Norvosi and Qohorik mercenaries has made it more threatening by the day. Kaliah is escorted to the great statehouse of Myr, where the governess Sylvana Ortare greets her. She is a very tall and stout woman in her early thirties. "My lady of Lys, welcome to our great city. Please come inside for wine and cheese and music."

Kaliah smiled. She had built up curiousity of what the city would be like and how she would be received. There had not been much to do other than think.
"Prince Lucian sends his greetings," she says pleasantly as she accompanies the elder stateswoman. She lifted her beekeper type veil up over her hat now that she was inside. "The Prince would be here himself but with his recent marriage he has chosen to remain by his new wife's side."

"A wise choice," Sylvana says. "New wives are territorial by nature," she smiles and offers wine. "How can Myr help you today?"

She took the wine with her gloved hand. "I agree," she replied softly. "I came to see how we can help Myr. It's clear that Myr, Volantis, and Lys need to work out an understanding. The threat of war looms too large. And war is not so good for business. Unless you're a sellsword."

"Which we aren't," she agrees. "Destroying Tyrosh's fleet is war. Giving the city to those...people is something much different." She makes a face. "Distasteful business."

"Business you could have taken part in." The girl replied watching the woman's expression. "So now is the time we find a common ground where we can both profit and find our selves on the right side of the coming conflicts."

"Only a fool gives raiders a secure base," Sylvana said. "But your point is valid. Old Volantis will not take this abuse forever. They have been distracted by events further east, but rumor has it they are signing a ceasefire with everyone around Slaver's Bay, specifically to come sort this issue out." She shakes her head. "What do you propose?"

Luckily Kaliah was calmer than her prince so she wouldn't fly off the handle at being called a fool. She would ignore explaining the prince's motivations and intentions. He had proved that the Lysene were a danger and should be heeded and that Tyrosh was weak and would have been swept aside sooner or later.
"Prince Lucian is wed to a Targaryen of Meereen and has an alliance with the Iron Born. It would be in Myr's interest I think to be a friend of Lys rather than a foe correct? The same with Volantis. A proper meeting between the leaders of the three great cities to form a grand alliance that has not been seen since the Kingdom of the Three Daughters."

"Indeed," she agreed. "Although it would be Five, as Qohor and Norvos have already joined their power to ours. We provide the port access to ship goods they require. Your island base could provide an indisputable advantage to the entire western half of Essos. Even Braavos would have to bow to our might," the woman said with an air of confidence. "All we need are details."

Kaliah nodded along, "I would like to discuss more but after travelling so much I would like a rest if you don't mind."

"Of course!" Sylvana said. "My manners!" She summons some servants to take the lady to her own guest house overlooking the pools and birds of the tropics.
