Three weeks after Denys arrives, forty bodies have been found in the streets of Gulltown. The violence is now at a daily level, as swordfights and crossbows being fired are as regular an occurence as a friendly chat or a business transaction. Three of Denys's Braavosi men are killed trying to maintain order, and fear is reigning in the town as Red and the Pentoshi bands go to all out war. Smallfolk face taxes from the foreigners, the domestice gangs, and the Lady Royce herself, and poverty and starvation are becoming legitimate concerns.
The only potential bright side is in the return of Lord Walter Arryn to the Eyrie, and the subsequent infusion of the Vale's armies, trained and brave men available for hire or looking for work. The decimated nobility of the area leaves few good commanders, but the Lady's pockets are deep, and even as far as Eddard's Rest word could go out for help. Deny headed to the capital a week prior, seeking to discuss things with the king of the North.

The response says the Hanged Man shall meet her the next day, dawn, at the docks district.

Red will come along with men in backup of course. If there was a fight he would be ready.
