The man raises an eyebrow. "Wants to add us to his little collection, does he?" He looks about. "I hope he brought more ships than that." He looks about. "We heard about Tyrosh. Did he bring his pet dragon with him this time?"

"The dragon belongs to the Emperor Vhagus, not House Greyjoy, Ragnar answered. "Will you come to the meeting? I would advise you to hear the prince out, at least."

"No I think I'll stay here," the man says. "Had word from some of your predecessors that you all don't take kindly to sellsails." He grins. "You know, it's funny. I hear you worship a god of drowning, but your friends all screamed as they sank beneath the waves. Funny, that. Not as much fun without a priest to kiss you to make you all better, I guess."

"What is dead can never die," Ragnar said, though he was quietly seething. "House Greyjoy is allied with the Emperor Vhagus, as I told you. Your ships cannot hole to stand against dragonfire."

The man just laughed. "I'll believe Vhagus Blackfyre will come south to put a torch to our islands with all the others he has infuriated snapping at his heels when it actually happens. If he comes to ask for my surrender my friend here would suck his cock while I offered my axe," he said. "But if you think dropping a name and expecting obeisance will work, well, you have some learning to do." He gets back on his ship. "And if you think a little water in your lungs makes you dead and immortal, well, I think your god has a few failed rebellions and piles of skulls I've heard to explain."

"The Storm God will strike you down," Ragnar called back. "I'll give the prince your answer, fool."
He ordered his crew to set sail back to the main fleet.

Ironically, as they sail north, the storms begin again. Waves the size of dragons crash, and the small fleet separates. It will take a week to reform the missing vessels, but Lord Ragnar's ship meets the main force in good time. (OOC; Every month in the uncertain weather is a 25% chance of a major storm. Vessels had better have a good harbor to wait them out.)

Killion was pacing the deck as the Drumms returned, the sailors tying down the sails and bracing against the tempest.
"Glad to see you did better than out scouts." he grinned. "What are we dealing with?"

"Corsairs, of course. We saw a fleet of fifteen lined up before the islands but there were more as well. Their leader was disinclined to meet with you. Truth be told, he was a cocky bastard." Ragnar frowned in disgust. "Let me have that one, when the time comes."

"Expected as much. Would not be worth enlisting if they rolled over that easily." he shrugged, before continuing in tone typically reserved for talking about the weather "Then we make an example of them. Take their ships, put them to the sword, and burn them from their shitty island. When the strongest falls, perhaps the rest will be less anti-social. After all, these islands are not the prize, merely our colonial outpost to take the riches on the mainland."

"Aye, but even an outpost must be held. But they will learn of their folly soon enough, i do not doubt it."

"Scorch the earth here and the rest will bow and scrape to avoid the same fate."
He ordered the fleet forward, to exterminate the corsairs of Axe Island.

The fleet moves to the island. As they stream forward, scouts report a few dozen ships present, but the majority of the fleet has scattered. Ax Isle's fortress sits inland about two miles, and a shantytown is built up to and around it. It'd be a fair sized Westerosi town, and it looks like a damned maze.
