"This is me at my most merciful," she replied to him with a small smile, "does this make you Lord now?"

"I guess it does," he said. "Niot much in the mood for celebrating. But, my uncle didn't finish the wine, at least." They sever the head and chuck the body down. "Care for a drink?"

"It is too soon to celebrate, I think, but Always am in the mood for a drink.," Robyn said, "while we wait for their response." She directed them to a courtyard overlooking the track up. If there was resistance coming up it would likely be that way.

They have an entire case and he pours a few glasses full. No one else is around save an archer watching the same trail with a half dozen loaded crossbows near him. "Never thought I'd rule this roost," he said. "And no time to settle in, is there?"

"That depends," Robyn replied, looking at him, "you could always remain here, get settled while the war goes on." She did not seem keen on him taking this option, she poured him a glass, "to the new Lord of the Vale" she did not sound cheered, due to the less than ideal circumstances.

"No," he said slowly. "Can't sit a war out if my men are fighting in it. What sort of message does that send?" He said, speaking mostly to himself. He adds to her toast. "To princess Robyn, the Warrior herself," and drank deeply. Below them they hear a commotion. Weapons are being throw to the ground.

Robyn was sure the warrior was supposed to be a man... was that an insult... was she being insulted? That was gratitude.
She drank regardless and gave him a small smile, then heard the noise. "That sounds promising," she said, and went to the edge of the courtyard, to see if she could see down.

It's an honor, not an insult, if hyperbolic in nature. Robyn sees Vale men moving up to take control of the third fortress. It is still rather far below. Walter looks down next to her. "Good. It is finished."

"all in all.." robyn said, looking round at him and stepping away from the ledge, "It was not as bad as I had imagined, "It is about time we had a good result."

Walter nods. "It is a bit tragic we have had such a time that we can count this as ending well," he noted. "But it has been a real pleasure working with you."

"Yes, it is a shame,"Robyn said to him, "I would say I hope we do it again sometimes, but that is the opposite of what I want. Perhaps we can travel south together, to join the main army?"

"Nothing would please me more," he said. "We have a lot of catch up to do for this war."

"Well then, we should rest up, after the climb... and your men, will need rest. then we should leave as soon as possible."
She paused and looked at Walter, "What will you do with the rebels?"
