Harys looked in pity at Lady Ashford. "Then do what you can to defend yourself here, my lady. King Rycherd will not forget the service of your House and for the Seven. May the Mother bless you."
He looked to his attendants and nodded. "Time is of the essence my lady, I shall trouble you no more."
Within the hour, they were travelling north-west down the Cockleswhent River towards Cider Hall.
