Uhtred didn't react. He'd suspected as much that Myr would throw in opposite Lys, though he was surprised that they had moved this fast. With Tyrosh out of the picture, Myr and Lys were the only two cities of the disputed lands that was really left with a naval presence. "They are when it suits them, though they've also warred often enough. Myr probably see's this as a chance to establish itself as the naval forte of Tyrosh, Lys, and itself."

"More ships to capture and more chum for the sharks then." Killion replied simply, with as much concern for this development as Lucian seemed to have for hurrying. "Though I had thought Lys and Myr were the closest of bedfellows?" Lucian agreed with the first part with a nod of his head. "Alliances in the Free Cities are short lived. A lady of pleasure is only in bed with a man or woman for a short time." He shrugged. "As you informed me, Westerosi alliances are much more permanent, with ties through blood."

"Nothing is permanent, but it is unsurprisingly hard to kill a man whose children have your eyes." Killion replied. "Marriage turns a stranger into family and in Westeros the kinslayer is cursed above all others."

Lucian agreed with this as well. "Perhaps Myr fears it will be swept aside. It will be soon enough. As Prince Killion says, more for us to take."

"Indeed. First hurdle is the Volantene Fleet in the Stepstones." Killion reminded them. "When that is swept aside, the Narrow Sea is open to us. Tyrosh, Myr, cities on Westeros' eastern coast that have not had cause to fear us for far too long; all ripe for conquest and plunder."
"Now let us fill our sails with wind and dip our oars in the brine, for glory awaits us!"

Lucian admired the prince's confidence. "Good. Let's get things done. See you on the water and luckily the winds will favour us in battle."

He had a bad feeling about this battle. He wasn't sure why, or what would happen, but he had a feeling. Maybe it was nothing.

The Iron Fleet departs, making a heading for the Stepstones in a double column line formation.

The Lys fleet returns home. A parade is promptly prepared to celebrate the victories and logistically ships are repaired and rebuilt.

The Children of Lys in their smart little uniforms stand among their Prince who is eager to welcome their new guests. He has a team of horses ready, several of his best for his guest's choosing for their ride to his Summer home.

Arianna Targaryen disembarks. Her mismatched eyes glance over the children with a bit of confusion, but she approaches. "Prince Lucian?" she asks, in lightly accented Lysene.

"Yes," he replied. The children picked up their baskets and flung petals along the path for Arianna to walk along. "You could only be the great Princess Arianna. Welcome to Lys." He waved to the horses. "Please accept one of my finest horses as a gift."

The Targaryen smiles and mounts one of them. "Why thank you," she said. "I have heard such lovely stories of the beauty of Lys. It is good to not be disappointed."

Lucian mounts one of the other horses. "It would be terrible if you came all this way just to be disappointed." The children all waved goodbye and wished them well as they began to ride. He had spent a few hours writing down cheesy one liners and memorising them for oppurtune times.
He had one for this moment that went, Guests tell me that Lys has the most beautiful women. Now I know they were wrong, because my city has never had you here as a guest."
The line made him smile broadly as it went through his head. Instead he opted for inquiring about her. "I heard you are a bit fierce. Is that true?"
