Arianna seems a bit overwhelmed, but swiftly catches up. "Send your tailor then and we can get started on my new wardrobe soon enough. How do ceremonies here work?"

Lucian thought, the last real large ceremony of note was his father's funeral, and before that it was his father's wedding to his wife. "There will be a large parade through the city that we will watch. We will be given many gifts by those that want us to remember them well. Then we will move into the palace where the ceremony will be performed." Truth was, he had no clue what the ceremony would be like, so he just made it up as he went along. "I will marry us and it will be written into law. Do you have a God that you honour? We can find a priest for you."

"None that would be concerned with this," she says with a grin. "I look forward to it, my prince." She smiles and rises. "No sense in wasting time."

"Are you afraid something bad will happen? If you want to be wed then I can just wed us right now."

"Oh, no," she said. "Let's have the grandest event this city has ever seen, hm? You seem more than able to do such a task."

"Alright," he said a little disappointed. He had been ready to summon his steward.
He rose and smoothed out his clothes. "I'll see you in a few days then. A tailor will come by in the afternoon to take your measurements for your Lysene dresses and at that time you can also request what you want done for your wedding dress. If there's anything you need in the meantime, well, just ask."
Lucian swallowed hard, he clenched his jaw and he departed the room quickly.

Lucian comes to pick up his bride. He had been absent for a few days attending to certain things. They'd spend their lives together so he didn't really need to hover around her nowadays. That and they didn't have to like eachother, it was business anyway.
He stood in the hall of the house in his Lysene soldier's uniform.

Arianna exits, clad in a gorgeous gown, regal and proper, befitting a dictator's wife. She is decked in jewels and has a statue-like, smooth, unsmiling face, a perfect mask for a public event. "Prince Lucian," she says mildly. "I hope I meet your approval."

He looked her over. "You look wonderful. Truly. I think you will have the approval of the people as well."
He paused for a moment. "This must all seem crazy. Are you ready to be a ruler of Lys? Im having your statue built as we speak."

"I was born to elp rule," she said. "Like any royal. So are we doing a parade? A party?"

"The parade will go on for about an hour, then we will move to the palace for the ceremony."

"Excellent," she said. She extends her hand to be taken for the festival. "A beautiful wedding for a beautiful city."
