Admiral Miranda Karellian watches the proceedings with no small hint of disdain.

Killion noted the scowling admiral and favored her with a charming smile in return.
"You look as if you have something to add." he remarked, the smile not quite reaching his eyes.

"Oh, I am quite well enough," she said. "Master Lucian is quite capable of doing his own talking."

Uhtred raised a cup to the Admiral who he had once drunk with. Not likely to do so later, heh.

Miranda cheerfully flips him off.

Uhtred smiles and drinks to that then, moving over the Admiral as Harwyn hopefully hammered out the arrangement with the Prince. "Greetings Admiral. It seems like not so long ago that I was in Lys seeking allies in quite a different atmosphere."

"Your company was less offensive then," she said. "What are you doing with these scum? Moray was better than this lot."

"No doubt about your prowess from me gentlemen." He tapped the girls by him to leave.
"What do you know about this Sunspear? I hear talk that it is beautiful, even for a Westerosi city".

Uhtred shrugs and steps back so he can also see Prince Killion "What can I say? When you have a contract, you stick to it, and the ironborn have lots of gold after Mantarys. Further if this goes through, my little island will be protected as well from foreign interests just as Lys ships."

Killion raised an inquisitive eyebrow at the prince's interest in the Dornish capital. "Aye, it has its charms if you don't mind the grit if sand in your meals. Why do you ask?"

Or was it a threat? Join us or face us?" she asked. "The Disputed Lands need more mercenaries like my tits need a spigot on them."

"It is a nice historical city." Lucian replied broadly. "It would be nice for a vacation home."
He looked over at his Admiral for a brief moment. "I am just curious, as one could say."
"I agree that we can crush the Volans together. But perhaps our alliance will be more smooth if my Admiral is happy." Lucian didn't hear all that was said between Uhtred and Miranda, but a middle finger is generally a universal sign.

"The Disputed Lands need more mercenaries like my tits need a spigot on them." Uhtred barked out a quick laugh at that "Mercenaries? Is that what you think they are? I'm a mercenary, bought and paid for currently. The Ironborn are a nation, just as Lys. The original threat was the chief draw on me, sure as sure" he admitted "but that was for something... quite different than this little venture. Now I'm under contract yet again, unless someone else could beat the offer of my current clients?" He cocks his eyebrows at her, his now quiet voice only audible to her.

"I can't resurrect you," she says drily. "But you are fools if you think we can face Volantis. Their third colony has more people than Lys does," she said. "It's all a numbers game, war, in the end."

Uhtred shrugs and swirls his wine back and forth "Numbers, aye it does always come down to that. You have accurate numbers on the fleet in the Stepstones then? Have they dedicated their main strength or no?"
